screen protector

I just received the eBay protectors in the mail last week...they were the EzGuardz: 3 for $3. They give you the option of applying them with or without water...the 'with water' option obviously being a better install. However, I'm too paranoid to use the water method, so I applied it the 'dry' way.
So far, they're worth every penny. I have a couple of imperfections because I didn't use the 'with water' way, but overall, I definitely can't complain. There's no adhesive on them, they just cling to the screen. I haven't lost a bit of touch screen capability and the clarity on the screen is still excellent. The only time I notice imperfections in the application of it is when the screen is off.
I know there will be nay sayers that refuse to believe you can get decent screen protectors for that price, but if you're open-minded and you're someone who doesn't mind dropping a whole $3 on eBay, you won't regret it.

They accomplish the 3 main goals I had: protect the screen, don't sacrifice touch sensitivity, and don't hinder the viewing quality of the screen.

I bought the same one from ebay and I did the water installation way and this thing hugs my screen. I don't have any studies and it cut down on the glare from the phone.

Is there any problem with water getting in that little seam between the screen and the casing? That was my biggest concern and it has me way to freaked out to try the water way! Obviously, yours turned out fine, but did you do anything to keep the water from going where it shouldn't?

I ran the screen protector under the faucet and let it get wet. Then I shock off some of the water and applied to the phone. I the took my drivers license and wrapped it in a thin cloth to squeeze out the excess water while applying it to the screen. The cloth and the license smooth out most of the air bubbles and the cloth absorbs the extra water so you do not damage the phone.

FYI remove the battery while doing this so the phone does not accidently cut on, but it is easy and you should have no damage.

The trick with putting screens on is to;

a.) clean the screen
b.) take a sticker or scotch tape and dab the screen to pick up any dust or speck's. Air bubbles can always be smoothed out, but if there is a speck that get's under it the bubble forms around it and can't be flattened out.
c.) Peel back just the tip of the film screen. Line it up, place two fingers down to hold it in place, and then pull the bottom-piece away as you walk the sticky underside of the screen onto the screen.

do you guys live in saw mills? i dont understand how you are getting dust under a new screen protector.....

the verizon ones are like this

--------------------------------- <-- screen protector protective layer on top
--------------------------------- <-- screen protector itself
--------------------------------- <-- screen protector protective layer on bottom

so you take off the bottom layer, place the protector, remove the top layer, walla....

all you should have to do is clean the screen really really good. when you place it just place 1 end then with a credit card or small flat "thing" push the protector up onto the rest of it.

I've had a Ghost Armor on for awhile now and it's great. The only bad point is mine got damaged in shipping. I E-Mailed Ghost Armor customer support and had a replacement packaged differently in a few days. The Ghost Armor customer service is top notch IMO. I'll post pics once I get the replacement on, gotta find the time.

I got my screen protector from Verizon. It smudges like crazy, but it does not scratch, bubble, or peel. I wipe the display with the same dry soft cloth I use for my glasses in order to clean it. I have heard/seen people using products like Windex, but I wouldn't dare do that.

the verizon ones im dissapointed in so far ;\ it smudges like crazy and fingerprints galore. then there's the bubbles which i hope go away.

can someone give me a link or suggest the best screen protector that doesn't smudge or give fingerprints like this? i'd appreciate it. - saw the opinions above but which one should i get? Boxwave? Lexerd?

Thank you!

I had one from Verizon and it got a big scratch in it last night ... not quite sure how either. Made me glad I had it, but I cannot live with this huge scratch right in the middle of the damn thing. So I just ordered these (5 for 2.75) ... do you still like them?
