Root Netarchy FPS Fix after unrevoked3.2?

So I rooted froyo with unrevoked 3.2 and I have Superuser and all that good stuff. But I tried applying the Netarchy Froyo FPS fix through recovery by applying the .zip from sdcard and it runs through but I still only get 30fps max. Does anyone know what I did wrong?

we'll need more info from you in order to troubleshoot. "all that good stuff" is not very specific :) Do you see S-OFF on your bootloader screen? And which version of the kernel did you flash? what recovery did you use? Any errors from the recovery image? Under Settings > About phone > Software, do you see netarchy kernel there? What version? And what build number do you have? What app are you using to test FPS?

I don't see the S-OFF in the bootloader. I flashed the Stock Froyo Windows kernel. Android version-2.2. Build number is 3.26.651.6. Kernel is 2.6.32. 15 by htc. No sight of the Netarchy Kernel in about phone. And I'm using fps2d for FPS testing. I know for a fact that it's not getting past 30 because I rooted a while back with 2.1 to get the FPS fix then unrooted and it's not getting close to matching the smoothness. Thanks for the help!

You don't see S-OFF. Do you see S-ON? It should be at the end of the first line. If you don't have S-OFF, you don't have NAND unlocked...... so not fully rooted. Check again. S-OFF should be there. first line on the white bootloader screen.

Yeah, your netarchy kernel didn't flash. not sure why.

Oh th bootloader I just seen Fastboot, recovery, clear storage, simlock, and Hboot USB. I'm guessing I don't have nand unlocked even though I did a nandroid backup? But if I have stock 2.2 Which direction do I need to go to get fully rooted with the Netarchy Kernel. Thanks for everything again!

Hmm, idk why it didnt flash either.
Are you using Clockwork or Amon RA for your recovery?

Ive read theres some problems with Clockwork when it wipes the cache.

Go in the market and get ROM manager
At the bottom of ROM manager it says flash Amon RA. Do it
Boot into recovery
Wipe cache-----and wipe dalvik cache
Flash Netarchy...

Thats the only thing I can think of, i dont know why it failed

Thanks so much for the input man. Alright so I tried the flash to Amon RA as well, and I'm still getting 30fps average along with only 2 multitouch points. Hmm this is weird.

That is really weird.... Do you thnk its maybe the app just not registering?
If you scroll through the homescreens really fast, do you notice its smoother? You could also download wireless tether from the market and try it out and see if it works smoothly.. Netarchy and wireless tether are great together.
Once you flashed Amon, you rewiped caches, and reflashed the kernel right?
I dont know how else to check, and if its not running i dont know what else to say :(

Ah that's true. What other root method is there available for froyo? I checked out simpleroot in someones signature and it's only for 2.1. Or am I unable to get the kernel until a better root exploit comes out for Stock Froyo?

Actually you should be good....
I did the exact same thing. I rooted with 3.2 and then flashed the kernal, and its running..

Yeah I can honestly say the smoothness isn't where it could be. And I got wireless tether but I'm not sure how those two would work well together. And I definitely did all the steps correctly to no avail :(. But seriously thanks for all the support. I'll figure this thing out.

Im sorry man. If you cant get it running by tomorrow im sure the other guys might be able to help more.

Ive had some problems lately and i just ran the RUU and wiped the phone, back to unrooted factory, and then rerooted and reflashed.

If you wanna do that just backup what you can and save your important files from your SD card on your computer (then i reformatted that before hand as well)

Idk if thats the best advice but its what i did haha

Loving the smoothness. And with unrevoked3 I flashed Amon RA rather than doing it through ROM manager. Then when it booted into recovery, I flashed the Netarchy 4.1.8 cfs. Rebooted and got it all together. Fun stuff. And the smoothness is incredible. Amazing how much more comfortable the phone is to use when it's smoother.
