Root my phone wont root.

I have a refurbished phone to replace my last one. I rooted it using gscript. This is how I rooted my previous phone. On my last phone I flashed plain Jane. This time i do not want a Rom just Su so I can install wireless tether. After using gscript it tells me I now have a rooted phone I reboot goto market install wireless tether than when I attempt to use it it tells me I need a rooted phone. What am I missing?

I would guess you need to flash the engtools3.zip file.

I say "guess" because of the vagueness of the details that you offered.

Do a search of this forum for "engtools3.zip", you will find instructions for what you are looking for.

The download of the "engtools3.zip" file will be in a thread on XDA in the Dev forum for Eris started by user jcase.
