Is there anyway to reset the OS to factory default?

So I installed PandaBeta for the Droid, and although it was cool, I uninstalled it because it was lacking the features I really wanted (it is in beta after all). After I uninstalled it, my phone has been acting semi goofy, and I noticed there are some new things that show up in Taskiller that weren't there before:

1.) Google Partner Setup (I don't even know what this is)
2.) com.google.android.apps.maps:FriendService
3.) Bluetooth Share (I never use bluetooth)
4.) com.weather.Weather:gadgetPrivateProcess
5.) Voice Dialer
6.) com.Twidroid:remote

Now I don't know if those are supposed to be there, but if they are supposed to be there, they were never there UNTIL I installed PandaBeta. My big issue though is I have noticed my phone acting semi weird (could have just been a fluke).

I just made a 1 hour phone call and when I went to hangup, the screen never woke up. So I hit the unlock button, nothing happened. I open the keyboard, nothing happened. The phone was on because when I opened the keyboard, the keyboard was backlit. This never happened before the uninstall.

Anyway, is there anyway to restore the Droid to the initial state? In other words a factory reset of the OS? I don't care if I loose all data, since everything I have is on the Google Cloud anyway.

I saw this, but does this actually reset the OS to default, or will it just get rid of all my data (I don't really know how the filesystem works on the Droid).

11/9/09 - If a customer forgets their touch swipe unlock pattern and they do not have a Google email account, a hard reset can be done to regain access to the device. This will remove all user content from the device.
Turn off the Motorola Droid.
Press the Power button and the "x" on the hardware keyboard at the same time to power on and bring up the recovery screen.
Press the Volume Up and Camera buttons at the same time to show the recovery menu.
Select "Wipe data/factory reset".
Select "Reboot Phone".

The problem is if you've had the "Back up my settings" checked off at any point, the phone will automatigically restore "everything"...except your email accounts' credentials.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THAT! I downloaded a bad app and it put my phone in a continuous power cycle. I just figured out what app it was the second time around. That post saved me a second 45 minute trip to the Verizon Store. I was able to re-activate my phone and quickly uninstall the little booger of an app off my phone before it could cause more problems.

No prob. The backup/restore process is still a little "black ops". I just wish there was "any" info about it for just these situations. It would be nice to have an option/prompt to "restore" or "not restore" once its back online from the "flash" process., instead of it doing it automatically.

Will this erase micro SD card data?

info on SD Card is uneffected unless you choose such options as to erase SD Card Data
