Could someone connect to their phone with the sdk and run a shell and execute either of those commands. That is assuming one can connect to their phone with shell and not be rooted.
Sorry I left that off, it will list the file permissions for the file /system/bin/insmod or toolkit. ls is a standard command on any unix system. The file in question is for loading kernel modules and I haven't found online a clear answer for if a non rooted user can execute that command. I have read varying notes that android has loadable models enabled but other thats say you can't load the modules so I am seeing if the command is even executable by not root users.
Thanks for the replies. I guess I could have searched for terminal emulator and saved you guys tye trouble, but thanks for the help. Now it's time to write an application and see if that works
