Auto rotate depending on time of day

I have been playing around with Timeriffic (great app!) and wondered if anyone knows if there is a way to have Auto Rotate of screen to not be enabled say, from 23:00 until 7:00?
Even a separate (freeware) app would be okay as I don't see Timeriffic doing this...?
PS - Is there a way to save/export timeriffic settings/personal saved options?

I don't really understand your question but if your asking how to disable Auto-Rotate, it can not be done without 2.2. Go to the home screen, press menu, press on Settings, than on Display, than press on Auto-Rotate so it will stop rotating. if that isn't your question, please rephrase your question.

Let's say I am using my phone will lying in bed. What I want is for Auto Rotate to be disabled from 11pm until 7am via some form of scheduling. It is much easier to read the screen in portrait mode while I am lying down than using landscape mode.
When 7am arrives, the phone will then have Auto Rotate enabled again.
Hope this clarifies what I meant.

Hmm. Haven't really thought of that concept, but is pretty useful. But I'm about 90% sure there isn't an app for that.

Tasker can do this, and soooooooo much more. But for this, just create a profile with 'Time' as the context, then set the time, then create the task display>Display rotation>Off and then create an 'exit task' turning it back on.

I first used Timeriffic back when I had my Samsung Moment. Then I upgraded to Locale because it had sooooo many more ways to set events (aside from just 'time' like timeriffic)...
However, that was a $10 app and I have ditched after using it for nearly a year because it is a gimped POS compared to the abilities of Tasker.

Tasker is MUCH cheaper (something like $3-$5 if I recall) and it can do virtually ANYTHING. It is an app that every Android owner should buy and learn to use. It is easily the most helpful and versatile app in my 50+ app arsenal. Also, if you download from their website you get a free trial... something like a week if I remember correctly. But just a warning, once you have used it, you WILL buy it.

Go check out any of the several threads over in the 'Android Applications' about it.
My most notable use for it, aside from the exact same use that you desire, is that when I get in my car, if I receive a text message, it will read the text out loud to me AND send an automatic response text saying something along the lines of "I am driving and that they can call if they need to talk, otherwise I will text them back when I get the chance."

Quick settings has always been able to control auto-rotate on/off. At least ever since android 1.5... though it doesn't have any way to make the changes automatic.

I second CriticalCritic's recommendation of Tasker. I installed it last night right before going to bed (big mistake because I then basically stayed up until 4 am playing around with it). It seems amazing so far. It definitely has a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it Tasker really does seem like it will be able to automate virtually anything you can do with an Android phone. Definitely my new favorite of my 170 installed apps and counting.
