i have been trying my best to install
928 Droid

Black Glass X

i have rooted, updated to 2.2 and updated to FlyX Final
i have wipe the cache in bootstraps recovery,
do i need to mount the sd card?
says installation is complete, and when i restart the phone i am stuck at the big Moto M
i have to flash back to 2.1 everytime
i am gettin fed up with this, can someone enlighten me of as to what i am doing wrong?

i would love to be running this theme with flyx but if you cant run a custom theme with a custom rom please let me know i am a noob at this, learning rather quickly but still need help at times, so any help is highly grateful thank you!

Are you putting the black glass theme zip file on the root of your SD card and rebooting into recovery from the bootstrap app? You then do and install from the SD card and choose the correct .zip file.

This is all done after having put FlyX 0.1 on your phone.

Did you do this differently?

ok, i put my X on Mass Storage mode, move the file which i renamed themeupdate as it stated on the website, to the root of the sdcard(which i believe is the first thing you look at when you open folder to view files, it has all the other folders, and files, if im wrong tell me cause that would explain alot), i turned pc mode back on, i opened bootstraps recovery, i pushed bootstrap recovery, and then reboot recovery, wiped the cache partition, and then install from zip. it was successful but wouldnt go past the Moto M

i am running androot rooted X with stock 2.2 and FlyX custom Rom,

do i need to mount the sd card when installing that theme?

i have to be doing something wrong, and i just cannot see what, it was on the Moto M for 15 mins before i flashed back to stock 2.1
so if you can enlighten me on what im doing wrong i'd really appriciate it

Stolen from Fabolous - same method for any theme (specific to deodex)

Requirements: Rooted, Deodexed Froyo, Koush's Droid X Bootstrapper

1. Download file(s) and place the .zip files on the root of your sd card
2. Reboot into Clockwork recovery
3. Install .zip from sdcard, choose the correct zip from sdcard
4. Install <Theme Name>
5. Enjoy your new theme!

ok after looking at the lines carefully, i was installing black glass 2.1 so hence i kicked myself in my own ass for this, but now i gotta wait for lunch so i can go home, download the correct one, and then bring my laptop to work, to flash back to 2.1

Ohhhh yeah - I forgot that his website had so many versions on it. Make sure you pick the deodexed one as well, not just the 2.2 regular one.

odd question sure it can be answered and there is a solution, when i had flyx i noticed i no longer have visual voicemail. do i need to get it from the market? will i get an extra bill considering i am paying verizon for it. or should i go with a different rom? i would like to see what the tranquility rom looks like, and if it has visual voicemail.

You can get VVM back, you just need to edit the build.prop file in the /system/ folder, using root explorer. Download the app from the verizon part of the app market, and then edit this into the build.prop file:

change ro.HorizontalVVM=True to ro.HorizontalVVM=false -> reboot and it should work.

(if this doesn't work, edit the build.prop file first and then download the app again)Oh and you won't get an extra bill - but you might want to consider using google voice instead since it's free. You can route your voicemail to your google voice #.

ok but there is no VVM app in the verizon part of the app market

OK, edit the build.prop file first then. Or, you could use ROM Manager and download the build.prop file that is fixed for it.

Rom Manager -> Download Rom -> birdman -> build.prop mods

Birdman's tweet for fixing this:

Added build.prop tweaks by @TheRealBeesley and vvm fix to rom manager, its in the rom list for now..no need to reinstall the whole system. 5:16 AM Sep 1st via web

Are you sure you have the correct version? I took me 5 days to read that thread and actually find the version for Dx 2.2

Go to this page
928Droid Themes for the Droid X

D13 you should post this link and not the one you have.
