Accessories Holster/Clip for Otterbox and Evo

Is this what you thinking of (just found it):

I just picked up one of these as well from my local sprint store and it appears to be a great case. I have the body glove as well as the Pt case (seidio) and holster I picked up from best buy on launch day. I guess I can add something to the forum by letting anyone that has a seidio case and holster that the holster will work with the Otterbox case perfectly. It was the determining factor for me when I saw the case at my local Sprint store. I dont like to put anything in my pocket except a wallet and every phone I have owned since the late 90's have had a clip case or a holster.

I think the commuter is the perfect case for those of us who already paid for that near bullet proof screen protector, a decent case and holster combo from seidio.
The defender has a built in screen protector which in our case isnt needed, it comes with a holster which in our case isnt needed. I personally like the look of the commuter in the holster better than the defender looks plus I have it now vs who knows when.

I wish I had another phone with a good camera to take a pic of it in the holster because it looks like it should have came that way. On a side note you can order the holster by itself from seidio as well just a little FYI.

Here is the answer I got from Otterbox:
The Commuter Series does not come with a belt clip/holster, only our Defender Series offers that feature. However, one of our partners does offer a clip option that can be used with the Commuter Series.

yea, no thanks on that one otterbox. they would do well to make one compatible with the commuter. looks like the seidio and ebay experimentation will continue.

Do you think there are any other options you would prefer? It looks pretty good. Wonder why Otterbox doesn't offer holsters? I sent them a message asking if they have any plans for the Commuter clip/holster or what they recommend. I'll post if they answer.

I just don't really like the spring clip on the top. Its a personal preference. However I don't think there are any other options out there.

If you are going to get a Seidio Holdster clip for the Otterbox get the one for the Seidio Active case. It is just about the same size as as the Otterbox and it fit perfectly with just a TINY TINY amount of movement.

I wouldn't suggest that, the thickness of the Cummuter case is more close to the Innocase not the Active. I have all three cases. My Active (not the limited edition) will not fit properly in my Innocase holster but my Cummuter seems like it was designed for it.......in other words no movement.

I have both the Seidio Active case and holster AND the Otterbox case. The Otterbox is a tiny bit smaller but it is no way on the same level as the innocase surface in terms of dimentions. After putting the Otterbox in both holsters the Active holster worked better for me. The clip holding the case in the innocase holster looks like it is almost at maximum extention where on the active holster it is flat. To me that is a better fit. If you like the fit of the case in the surface holster that is your perogative. I'll stick with the active holster.

This is very helpful discussion and I appreciate both of your feedback. What would be even more helpful would be if Otterbox made a holster. Anyhow, maybe I'll just return the Commuter and get the Seidio combo? Thoughts on that? Do you think the Otterbox is that much better than the Seidio products being you have both?

I am currently debating that as well. I have both cases and I love the camera and port coverage of the Otterbox but I think the Seidio case feels better in my hand. I guess I am a sucker for soft touch plastics. Seidio is also very responsive to questions and concerns so I like that as well. It really comes down to a preference. I'll keep debating for the next few days.

I do like the feel better of the Commuter over the Active. If I were going to choose between the to I would select the Commuter. I only bought the Commuter because I was sending my Active back to Seidio because the rubberized coating was rubbing off the back again (2nd one that has done it). The Cummuter will be returned to Sprint once the Defender comes out......and it has a clip built for it.

I will give that to Seidio they have been very helpful in working with them. I just wish the quailty of their products lived up to their customer service. The Cummuter just feels like it is made of better materials. Only negative I see on the Cummuter is the bottom port which doesn't want to stay closed if nudged it will fly open. If I was going to keep this case I would cut the port cover off.
