Hey everyone, new user here coming from owning a iphone for over 3 years. Just picked up the Galaxy-S

-Im currently going threw the painful process of transfering my contacts over to my galaxy-s. Im trying to sync my old iphone with itunes and selecting the google contacts option. Ive been having horrible luck with it but I think I might cave in and put them in manually.
-Switching mp3s using your headphones? I love this about my iphone is there a app in the store that would me it so I can switch songs with just double clicking my headphone button?
-Syncing pictures- What do you guys use or recommend?
-Antivirus do I need it?
-Theres like 3 different ways to check my mail on my phone its honestly confusing. Whats everyone using to check gmail?
-Can someone explain to me the different USB modes..I see a whole bunch and im just curious on what they all mean?

1. put them in manually via your gmail account on pc. it will auto sync them to your phone. also, one of the reasons i hate itunes/iphone system.

2. should do already?

3. dude, i store all my pics on picasa. they auto show up in the gallery app. This is just amazing.Otherwise drag drop?

4. no. but do take a look at wavesecure, invaluable.

5. use the gmail app.

6. list them for me and i'll tell you what they mean :p

2. Nope my stock headphone button will only pause and play a song not skip it??
3.Ive used picasa in the past before ill check it out.
4. Will check those out thanks
5. I think was confusing me was the notifications in the upper right hand corner and when I would click on the notification and it would bring me to a different looking menu.
6. Okay well first I ended up finding something USB debug so this phone would show up on my mac. I have both mac and pc btw. But along with that mode theres

1.Samsung Kies
2. Media Player
3. Mass storage device
4. Pc Internet ?

1.Samsung Kies
This is the updating and syncing app supplied by Samsung. When you plug in your phone and need to 'sync' this is what you choose
2. Media Player
Never used it but I assume it allows you to use your phone as a media player and yoru music goes through yoru computer speakers.
3. Mass storage device
Acts like a USB stick. easiest way to get media/apps/files on and off your phone.
4. Pc Internet ?
I think ... um I really dont know.

4 Pc Internet

I'd assume lets your pc use your phones internet connection.
