Worst Luck Ever!

I swear I'm gonna go crazy one of these days...
I've had the Evo since the release day and I loved it, greatest phone ever in my opinion. Well about two weeks ago, something happened and it broke, yeah it was my fault but i'd rather not talk about it.

So I decided to upgrade to the Epic 4G, I found one and bought one last week. I immediately fell in love with that phone. Now here's the worst part, the same day I buy the phone it breaks! :( I accidently dropped it from a height of around 1 feet onto my sink. The inner screen shatters but the outside glass is perfectly fine. I couldn't believe it.

I believe that the new Super AMOLED screen is very very fragile because I've dropped the Evo hundreds of times and nothing ever happened. I then decided to switch back to the Evo and ordered a replacement phone after a difficult process.

Yesterday, I received the replacement Evo. Well I immediately notice it's refurbished and it doesn't seem to bother me. It turns on fine the first time and I proceed to activate it. First, the touch screen is not working at all. Only a few sections of the screen work even after full resets and calibrations. The phone then dies and never turns on ever again, I've tried different batteries and chargers but no luck!

Now I've complained about the refurbished phone to the insurance company and I expect to get a new one tomorrow. Key word, NEW.
I miss my evo

The Epic was nice but I don't recommend it to anyone unless you buy a very durable protector or if you're the clumsy type like me. Just too fragile in my opinion.
I don't expect any phone to be bulletproof but the Evo did take some good shots!

I'm praying they send me a new one, I've been busy with school so I told my mom to order the replacement phone. I'll ask her and see if they said anything about a new phone.

Cases for the Epic aren't gonna be as good as they are for the Evo or any other 'bar' phones. It's got a sliding mechanism that case manufacturers have to work around, they can't simply wrap it up like the Evo, Droid X, etc. End case point, cases for any phone with a sliding mechanism for major functions are gonna be either hard on the phone (wedging itself between the bottom and top half of the phone to stick in, creates wobble and over time, an irreparable gap) or they just hug loosely around the edges and fall off.

Launch day Evo was replaced with a refurb, refurb was in worse shape than launch day Evo. Send it back and then have further issues a few weeks later. Second replacement is a refurb with a blown earpiece speaker.

*Novel*
I live like 40 miles from the closest service center so I'm not gonna go sit there while they play around with it and tell me I need a new phone 45 minutes later. I already know that, otherwise I would've fixed it myself because I (between myself and Android Forums) know more about it than you do, Sprint "technician."

Anyway, about a month ago I called in for issues and the guy was very accommodating and sent me a new phone because it was so far away. Then I got the phone and it was a refurb and my launch day phone was in better shape so I said screw it and sent the refurb back. Then I started having problems with my Evo again, so I called in only to do all the same stuff I've already done, told they cannot order me one and then transferred to "advanced tech support" where Missy Elliot told me that I could do nothing but take it to the store. When I questioned it and told her I already had been sent one a few weeks earlier, she said "Hold on" and promptly hung up on me. Obviously this was on purpose, or she would've called me back since they had my phone number and all. 45 minutes on the phone wasted.

I call back a few days later after restocking up on patience and get pretty much the same thing except this time I am told they nor their supervisors can order replacements anymore due to "reps ordering phones when they shouldn't have been." So I am transferred and the second person gives me a "multiple exchange" phone number to call after a few minutes of nonsense. Well the guy greets me by saying "Tech Support" so who knows what the number was. He does a couple of things and then tells me to hold on and comes back to tell me that he's sending me a replacement. I get the replacement and of course it's a refurb, but it looks perfect. The only way I knew it was a refurb was because of the way it was packaged and a few scratches on the kick stand. And then... I make a phone call. Damn earpiece speaker is blown. Don't know if I have the patience to fight with these idiots again. Glad there is some quality control testing done before the "refurbs" are thrown in the "passed bin."
