Root Theme Template

So I have compiled a sort of template to be used for making themes.

I pulled all the resource files from velocity and put them in a metamorph ready structure.

Simply edit the png files and replace under the same name, edit the first few lines of the xml file to provide the description zip it all up in a zip named the same as the xml file and its ready for metamorph.

This theme is applyable it will give you stock v8.


Hopefully someone who has some creative talent will find this useful.

You can also use this to port themes over, just replace the pngs with the ones from the theme your trying to port. It can get a little tricky but its more tedious than anything

No I messed up, Ill fix it tonight, I zipped up the wrong dir.

THe one I will upload will be the same but the PNGs will be stock

I just got my internet back today and am going to be testing how well I am able to theme tomorrow. If its as easy as I am thinking it is then I may make a bunch of themes.

So I started with the basics of theming just now and feel like I have a pretty strong grasp on it. So far I have only played with the framework files but have not run into any issues until now. I am attempting to make a theme that uses transparency on the notification bar, but it only is properly transparent when the screen is locked. Upon unlocking I get a gray background for my notification bar.

Halp?

Edit: Locked it looks perfect.

Unlocked it does not, am I just missing a background file I didn't edit somewhere?

Are you making files for:
status_bar_item_background_focus.9.png
status_bar_item_background_normal.9.png
status_bar_item_background_pressed.9.png
statusbar_background.9.png
status_bar_header_background.9.png
status_bar_close_on.9.png
status_bar_background.png


These should be all files needed for the notification bar if Im not mistaken.
I think statusbar_background.9.png is the file in question.

I was looking at the stock theme pngs and noticed some abnomalities that may be hindering your development.

I uploaded what I believe to be the files you need to: mediafire link here
Try modifying these pngs to your liking and add them to your framework-res package

Savoxis, the stock theme is great but I was wondering if you could hook me up with a metamorph zip of everything that is included in the stock version of Velocity 0.2? I'm planning a full theme and am not 100% sure how to get all of the stock images and what have you.

Good news since Trident just released it I can now make that available.
