Help HERO - Phone Is Possessed

HTC HERO on Sprint. Was having a normal text convo with somebody this morning. Sent a personal text message. Next thing I get is a kickback from Twitter stating I have gone over 160 chars? I have no open SMS Twitter messages in my Handcent app. In fact the only texts I have are with the person I was talking to. My text shows it was sent within the only text convo I had going. But somehow it was sent to Twitter as text msg as well?

How is this possible? How could my convo be sent to Twitter within the Handcent app when it clearly shows the convo I was having was with a diff recipient?

To add, I just resent the text msg to the same party, and it sent it to Twitter again? How could it change from 806-XXX-XXXX number to 40404 Twitter? Checked details of msg and it shows two diff numbers.

Normal convo taking place, then *BAM* it sends personal info out to the world. Nice. Cant trust to send info

Not happy.

Also, phone likes to crash each time I open the People shortcut. And dial people at random.

No viruses, auto app kill in place, memory clear.

Are you using a task killler? Uninstall that first

Uninstalled app. Copy and pasted text and sent rather than using the Resend. Text was sent to correct recipient this time.

Will keep an eye open on the People/Contacts issue today.

Thanks.

Cool:) Hopefully you won't have any troubles with people/contacts but if you do let us know;)

Taskillers can sometimes do more harm than good

Odd thing is that I had no text at all in my app. I've been deleting all of them to keep my phone running smoothly. So 40404 was only located in my Contacts. I thought that maybe a text from 40404 came in the same time and the phone got confused. But again, only text I had in phone were with person I was speaking to. No Twitter text

Needless to say, this person has since stopped texting due to this mishap.
