Anyone else having problems with adobe flash not working on their rooted incredible? I received a message from Verizon that the "update" was available, but since i was already rooted, there was no "link" to install updates. So I went to the market and installed the APK, it even showed their was an "update" available once it was loaded. However, it still will not open the APP...Anyone??/Help??

I haven't had any problems myself. I've been running Virtuous - it's a very stable ROM.

Okay, this should not be this difficult. Can anyone tell me what "Rom" and/ or what Kernel they are using to get the adobe 10.1 flash to work on their rooted Incredible??
I have purchased the Rom Manager Premium and have loaded just about every Rom there is. Plus, I have now added the "Hydra" underclocked Kernel to the mix..Still Adobe will not work!! What am I missing??

By the way, I am using "UNREVOKED" with the Hydra Kernel now..Actually I Liked the "CYANOGENMOD the best, but i couldn't import my Contacts...
Bottom Line: anyone with a working Adobe Flash..Please Answer..

Mine is working just fine. Worked before I rooted, has been working since I rooted.

What do you mean by "iit still will not open the APP"? What app are you referring to? And what is it you are trying to open? There is no adobe flash "app"... it's just software. So if you are looking for something to open in your app drawer, you won't find it.

When you go to sites with Flash, do they work? If so, you have Adobe Flash.

Go to Menu - Settings - Applications - Manage Applications. Click on the All tab. Adobe Flash should be up there at the top. Do you have this? Again, if you do, then you have Adobe Flash installed.

Thank You for Replying!..I Understand completely about it being "software". I also went into managing apps, and yes its there..However, everything is grayed out except "uninstall"..Now..I went to the Market App, Then, Menu, Downloads, and looked for adobe 10.1..once there, i touched it, and it has on the bottom, " Open" or uninstall ...Open is "grayed out.... Also, I have tried ESPN video's , and Hulu, both will not run..ESPN just sits there, and Hulu gives me an error message saying sorry not available on your platform or something to that effect...I really think there is some setting or something else i am missing... I have been playing with ROMS and Kernels for the heck of it, but to no avail....Again, I appreciate that at least you answered..Can u tell me what ROM and Kernel you have on your dinc???

No, it is working just fine. The market link is broken for some reason and has been since it was released. But it's already installed on your phone.

I am not sure about ESPN but I know that Hulu will not work unless you root the phone and use a modded flash player (as well as a custom ROM). Hulu specifically prevents mobile phones from using their site, I believe for legal reasons.

Adobe was not on my phone..Remember I rooted from 2.1. So I had to add Adobe Flash when it became available on the Market. However, I also downloaded several versions that were on the web, and installed on my SD Card, so technically it should have worked...When Verizon sent OTA to my phone, i ignored the request, (even though there was nothing to push) so i still have a great Rooted SuperUser Phone, with Wireless Tether and all the Whistles...Except no Flash...Thanks for the update on Hulu!! I did install a Custom rom over the weekend, and it had an "APP" for Hulu, and I thought Great Finally!! Still didn't work! So I reverted back, except I loaded the Hydra Overclocked Kernel, wow talk about fast and battery saving!
Thanks For Trying, anything else comes to mind please help! I guess I can live wthout flash for now..

You might want to try this:

Download: Official Flash 10.1 (V10.1.92.8) for Any Android 2.2 Phone - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

Download the APK from that site and manually update your flash player (the one that came with 2.2 is already outdated). Once you have that one, the market will be able to update you to the latest, which is 10.1.95.1.

For some reason people can't seem to go strait to the latest one, they have to get that 10.1.92.8 first and then update from there. It's strange, but I can only assume it has something to do with the way they built in the flash player in the Froyo update.

OK..Did that, now have latest version, still nothing..I'm Done....Can't keep losing sleep over Adobe flash!!...I will bet I would have to "reflash" to Factory Specs, load Verizon's OTA, and then it may work..Won't do that the phone is working Great other than that..thanks again for trying to help..?? What other site other than ESPN and HULU would you recommend I try??
