Google Maps Layers History?

Just got the droid and I love it. However I was playing around with the Google Maps Directions and such, entered in a few locations and it saved all of them to my Layers screen. How can I clear them? I don't want those there when I hit the layers button, but I can't find any option to clear them. Anyone know how?

I'm having this same exact problem, can't figure out how to clear out saved search layers.

I found this, but it doesn't seem to apply to the DROID

After more research, I found the following:

Go to:

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications

press the menu softkey, choose Filter, then choose All.

From there, you can choose the Maps and then select "Clear data"

However, this basically wipes the entire data storage for Maps.

Doesn't the "Clear Cache" option from the Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Maps clear this information?

BTW...I got the new Maps update this morning as well...

Hmmm...that is odd...I was able to use it to clear my cache just before posting. I am running version 3238. What version do you have?

The only thing I've found to work is to uninstall the update via "Manage Applications" and then you can follow betoranaldi's instructions of
"Go to:

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications

Not a true fix by any means and it works at the expense of losing the new stuff offered by the updates.

Go to your apps. App-menu where all the Apps are located. Then, like you would Uninstall any App, Drag G-Maps App, and drop it on the AppInfo sign, (on the top of your screen).
Then click UNINSTALL UPDATES
It will clear your layers search history.
