I looked around for an answer but got none. This was my first time ever rooting and i used unrevoked 3.2 and it seems to have worked flawlessly. I want to grab netarchy but when I went to the site there were a bunch of options to choose from. So if someone could be so kind as to link me to the correct version I would appreciate that greatly. Thank you kindly and I'm glad to be apart of this community now!

EDIT- also when I want to flash a program am i supposed to install it onto my evo or my computer.... I'm still a little confused as to the process of actually flashing a program.

netarchy's latest is 4.1.9.1. It's technically in beta, but most are running it fine. It has HAVS, which is supposed to help battery some way over the previous versions (4.1.8). Personally, I would try the 4.1.9.1 first. It runs beautifully on my evo. 4.1.8 does too, but obviously you don't get the battery benefits of HAVS. As far as BFS or CFS, each evo works differently. From reading the last 15 pages of that kernel's thread at xda, you can see that CFS seems to be running better. CFS runs much smoother and faster on my evo than BFS. It is a noticeable difference. The beautiful part is that if one doesn't work well, it takes about 30 seconds to flash a different kernel. I'd try the kernels in this order: 4.1.9.1 CFS, 4.1.9.1 BFS, 4.1.8 CFS, 4.1.8 BFS. Others might say try BFS first. I actually did, but it felt too slow. Try them all, but give them a bit of time. I was in the same boat as you only a week ago. I hope I helped save some time.

You have to flash the kernel from your sd card in recovery mode on your phone. It takes seconds. Read about wiping cache and dalvik cache before flashing between these kernels. MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW TO DO THIS PROCESS COMPLETELY BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT!!!!

Well, cfs seems slower. It seems to make my batt drain faster. Plus my quad score is 1186. I was higher on bfs. I flashed back to bfs...better kernel for me. I am going to stay here. Best kernel I have found this far until I want to wipe my phone again for CM6.

I just flashed netarchy-toastmod-4.1.9.1 CFS, and my quad score and linbeck score dropped. What gives?

Matter fact, the quad scores seems to fluctuate. what causes the score to change like that?

Ok...Now I'm in the 1294...2 out of 3 tries. Shit, the last time it was 1348...

With the lowest being 11xx something.

I'm running fresh evo 3.3.0.1

netarchy-toastmod-4.1.9.1 CFS
