so would this be flashed the same as a nightly (cache/davlik cleared), or is a wipe necessary?
so this is CM6.1, not CM6, correct? & i thought CM6 was a stable rom for everyday use, so is CM6.1 even better, more stable, but not a final releaseHere is an update, now CM6.1 from Darch 9/18 http://darchroms.pocketdevelopers.com/cm/update-cm-6.0.0-Heroc-signed.zip

is there any benefit in flashing the nightlies, b/c im not having any issues w/ stability in any of the cm6 or nightlies as far as i know.
in your opinion, if you arnt having issues w/ nightlies, what would you do:
run cm6 w/ or w/o nightlies
run cm6.1 w/ or w/o nightlies
i just want my phone to be all that it can be, & more
thanks
works like a charm. So by saying it is a "stable release", does that mean there is no need for nightlies after this or is it worth flashing one every week or so, as ive been doing, to keep it updated?
yea, i just flashed 919 also, & like flashing the nightlies.General answer would be, if you enjoy flashing the nightlies, I would continue doing that. But since it is still testing, bugs may be in the nightlies.
CM6.1 would be for anyone that wants a stable everyday rom, flash it once and wait for an official update from Darch and Cyanogen, if and when that comes.
I'm going to continue flashing the nightlies as normal, flashed the 919 last night and hopefully the 920 will be here tonight

is there any benefit to flashing the cm6.1, then flashing the nightlies.
for example, is the signal bar fixed in cm6.1, b/c if so, that will stick, even if you install a nightly.
i think im gonna flash cm6.1, then go back & flash 919
a little confused, i thought nightlies were unstable/buggy, & the cm6.1 is stable, but your saying that 918 & higher are the same as cm6.1I would not think flashing the CM6.1 would be a huge benefit because you are up to date with the 919, essentially the 918 or the 919 is the CM6.1
Flash the CM6.1 then wait until the 920 comes out, imo

so basically they took the cm6 9/18 nightly & made it stable, & now its called cm6.1?What do you think the RC1 was? The nightlies continued to be built every night after the RC1 until another stable release came which is now a stable/final CM6.1. As far as the nightlies, have you noticed the size of the previous 10-15 nightlies? All were 55.3 mb. Got the bugs out and now the CM6.1
so basically they took the cm6 9/18 nightly & made it stable, & now its called cm6.1?
everybody @ cyanogenmod forums knows nothing about this, thats why im asking.
on, another note, on the OG CM6 RC1 thread, it states that its a stable everyday use rom too
oh, no no, im not saying your wrong at all, but when the 1st CM6 RC1 came out, it said it was stable enough for everyday use, & now CM6.1 is supposed to be stable. If I am wrong on the process of the CM6, then I sincerely apologize. By no means was that my intention to put out misinformation about the CM6.1. Of all things that I had read, this was my assumption about the CM6.1. Of course we all know the saying, "when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me". Again, if I was wrong about the process, I am sorry

im just confused, b/c when i asked about CM6.1 over on CM forums, nobody even heard of CM6.1, & some even said it wasnt out yet, & i linked them to the links @ the top of the thread, & the change log too, & i was kinda laughed at, saying it was bogus.
im just trying to figure out whats what.
i installed an older nightly, & compared the app versions of the nightly to the change log 6.1.0, & they matched up, eg: awd, superuser.
so, not saying your wrong at all, youve been really really helpful, just confused thats all, even though xda did update the CM6.0.0-RC1 thread from 8/15 to 9/18, so idk
