How do you sync Premier League fixtures (Liverpool FC) with google calendar, and make it show up on my LPP agenda widget??

Ive googled this, but cant seem to find a solution to it.

First, I have already added LFC fixtures to my google calendar in "other calendars", via google itself, but cannot seem to be able to make it show up in LPP widget. Previously I used the Telegraph fixture list, but its been discontinued for some reason (rights issue maybe???).

Does anyone know a solution to this?

EDIT: After a bit more digging, it seems "other Calendars" cannot be synced to my device. Now thats just plain rubbish. Sort it out please google, it can't be that hard, surely.

to be honest, i dont know what you mean. I've added loads of calendars via my pc and they are on my phone.

For example, I have synced a World Cup 2010 calendar. I have also synced the F1 fixtures for this year, as well as a facebook calendar of peoples birthdays.

Are you saying this doesn't work, or something else?

The football fxitures from the sports calendars in google calendar do not sync with your phone. It is a know issue.

But you can import the fixtures from here Scott's THISMONKEY web page

although I can't get the subscription to work.

i have this problem too.

i was told it was something to do with googlemail and gmail, how you set your account up, if you tried to switch to gmail at any point, switched back etc etc.

it's ridiculous really. I've got another calendar to work, but for some reason like the lads above, the football fixtures just will not work. will try this latest solution anyway. ;)

cheers.

This is a great site, very easy to use. If you're having problems with "Other Calendars" not syncing, just create a new calendar in Google Calendar and import the fixtures into that from the .csv file.

Thanks for the link!

Hey guys.. Want the google calndar widget to show your epl matches? Jus download business calendar from play store (no, its not paid).. It will give you options which calendars you want to show.. After you select all the teams. And select 5x5 widget.. After 5 or 10 minutes your google calendar widget will start showing all the matches... If it doesnt even after 15 minutes.. Just restart your phone once...

I use Business Calendar myself, but two points here:

1) I've never met a calendar app that doesn't allow you to choose which calendars to display, and most have widgets too. Hence this app is no more of a solution to the problem discussed in this thread than any other calendar app.

2) it's almost 4 years since the last post in this thread, so we can safely assume that everyone here has solved their problem by now. ;)
