Root nonsensikal vs xtrrom

Well a couple of things bug me in nonsensikal, like the trackball flashing way too fast and short intervals, and couple of other things...but other than that,I love it! Is there any fix for the trackball problem?

That's how the trackball works in Froyo ROMs. I remember there being a setting under CyanogenMod settings to change the trackball light frequency, but I can't find it.

I really like both, but I seem to go back to xtrRom because when I use nonsensikal, all of the pictures I take with my phone come out blurry. Am I doing something wrong? I would really like to use nonsensikal more often.

I use the "touch to focus" option in the camera settings which makes the pictures clearer.

Ok so I can't decide on which rom to choose, they're both pretty good IMO, but which one do you guys prefer? And for nonsensikal, which version do you find stable and fast?

Which Nonsensikal and which xtrROM?

I found 5.6 to be superior speed-wise to the earlier Nonsensikals, and the opposite with the xtrROM series; 3.0.3 seemed the most stable as I tested those following that release.

ymmv.. try them all on your device, there is no reason not to; Erises are not all created equal. ;)

I agree with Frisco... I am using Nonsensikal 7.0, Blue theme, but anything from 5.6 and up is pretty stable. XtrRom I have a Nand backup of 4.5 and find it also very stable and fast, however, I find 2.1 somewhat limiting after running 2.2 and for my phone, at least, I have found that I get average Quadrant scores of 420 or so where as I cannot get close to the 400 barrier with XtrRom. I have not been a rooter for all that long but I have tested and run many versions of the Nonsensikal, CYanogen Taz and Kaos Froyo roms as well as XtrRom so I have a pretty good understanding of the tweeks.

The last two roms I've tried are Nonsensikal 7.0 and xtrROM. xtrROM is my choice. It is fast and just works. I like Nonsensikal and it seems to work well but even though it is Froyo I still find xtr to be faster. I have to believe there is a reason the Eris is getting the official Froyo. It isn't bad it just lags a bit more than xtr. I do get a much better Quadrant score with Froyo, but that means nothing to me if it seems slower.

I've been running Nonsensikal Black 5.4 for a little while now and love it. I am updating to 7.0 as I type this. The new features in Froyo are just too cool to walk away from, so I may be on this one for quite a while.

So far the only thing keeping my off Froyo is I use my camera a LOT. Especially for work. With 2.1 builds it takes great pictures if the light is right.
