Hi,

Firstly sorry for my english grammar errors..

I have Samsung Galaxy i7500 and I wanted to update 1.6 Donut to 1.6.3 Galaxo. I read and started to upgrade with this tutorial http://androidforums.com/i7500-all-things-root/72037-easy-guide-updating-galaxo.html. When I finished the upgrade (galaxo installed) a tried to turn on my Galaxy. There was just boot screen for about 5 min and than restart -.- same thing again.. I tried to enter in Recovery and than this message:

The archive: rectools.tar.gz was not found on /sdcard/

This small recovery allow you to upload the rectool.tar.gz archive on /sdcard/ using ADB

When the upload was done, reboot again in recovery mode.

Than I went to Run > cmd > cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools\adb push C:\rectool.tar.gz /sdcard/ C:\rectool.tar.gz and than this:

error: device not found -.- (I Installed USB drivers before this)

I also tried to type adb kill-server and adb shell but nothing.. The problem is that I can't enter in fu**ing Internal SD card.. I also have 2 GB memory card, tried to copy files but nothing.

Tested on Windows XP SP 3 and Windows 7 Ultimate

HELP ME PLEASE :(

I'd use Odin to flash another firmware, if you can enter the download mode. You'll find interesting stuff here.

The Easy Guide to Galaxo isn't really needed anymore, I should edit it. I think you can use the application Drakaz made to install the custom recovery and everything. Never tried it though.

Please keep the guide up!! I still refer it from time to time.

Dear Galaxyshi,
Happy to hear that your issue has been solved.
I got a similar issue with you, and I can't mount "internal-SD" on Android now.

1. I can't enter normal recovery mode. I will see the same screen with you before.
2. I can enter Android I upgrade before, but I can't mount internal-SD card. I also can't format it.

Do you meet the same situation with me? I am trying to find best way to solve the issue.
Do you fix the issue following this guide? (http://androidforums.com/i7500-all-things-root/13692-how-odin-galexo-rom-s.html)

Please kindly share the experience with me.

Thanks.

While I tried to odin, I got some trouble.

Is it normal?

I found that I can't enter recovery mode anymore. What should I do now?

The latest firmware should at least let you boot your phone on. Once you can do that, jump in and mount your SD on the Computer and copy the Drakaz's 6.1 recovery which imho is one of the reliable ones around, at least personally. Copy the recovery images on your SD and use fastboot( detailed description for how to use fastboot can be read at the full thread in this forum created by DaShmarotzer) once you fast boot and flash the recovery ,you can obviously jump into the recovery mode and then go ahead and install any custom roms.

And if anything screws up, go back to step one and use odin and flash the firmware, if you haven't taken a back up. I may have flashed my mobile a 100 times so far :p
