Root Can't create a nandroid after rooting with unrEVOked 3.2

I posted this on the xda-developers forum yesterday. Maybe someone here has some insight too.

rooted my EVO running Froyo last night using unrEVOked 3.2. Everything went fine, installed titanium backup and backed everything up.

This morning I tried to do a nandroid, and it kept hanging at various points and never completed. I would wait a good 5-10 minutes (with nothing happening), then do a battery pull. Tried this six or seven times, each time hanging at diffent points on different files.

I have s-off, and succusfully installed titanium backup and wireless tether.

I checked the sd card, there is no recovery folder after trying the nandroid. I can mount the sd card to my Win7 pc and navigate through all folders without a problem. The sd card is a class 10, 16 gb kingston card. Have had the card running just fine for two weeks prior to root.

Don't want to do anything else until I get this resolved.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

@MsRandall - while I'm sorry to hear it's not working for you either, I'm glad it's no 'just me'.

@tsipa - there is no "Clockwork" folder on my sd card. I've checked several times. I'm a noob at this, so it may take me a while to find Amon's RA. Thanks for helping.

I would imagine the folder wouldn't be created until you are able to do a nandroid backup so it wouldn't be there for those of you having trouble.

The nandroids made by clockwork will show up in the "clockwork" folder on your sd card. Try switching to Amon's RA, maybe that will work for you...

Thanks tsipa. I installed ROM Manager (from clockwork) and flashed the alternative recovery, which is the most recent verson of Amon_RA's. Did the nandroid backup and it worked!

Feeling much better about rooting.
