Surprisingly, looking to go back to an Eris

it would probably be easiest to buy an eris on e-bay, then sell your droid. I don't know how much you would get for the droid though ever since the Droid2 and DX came out. Enough to at least cover an eris though. ha we could just trade :D :p. i have been looking on e-bay for a droid but they are all either over-priced or questionably low. :( i will probably just wait for christmas and get whatever is new then i guess.

but good luck! :)

Very easy. Root your Droid, go to SetCPU and set the max and min to 125 Mhz. Download beautiful widgets which give you the Sense clock and such and you'll have Eris. Be sure to throw it against the wall a few times out of frustration for the true "Eris Experience."

When does Gingerbread come out for the Eris?

Ouch! Smacky, take it eazzzyy...

Does anyone know how I can get rid of my Droid for an Eris? There is nothing wrong with my phone I just would like to go back to the slim light Eris and I miss the Sense UI.

I would gladly swap my Eris for the Droid. My Eris is in basically perfect condition. Has had a screen protector on it from day 1 as well as a case.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

If you happen to live in the south-western PA area, I'd be willing to meet and swap in person (in a public place of course).

Cincinnati area here...same thing as Funky said. I'd be willing to meet up...i'd probably be willing to swap phones through the mail as well.

Right about now bells should be going off in your head. These people wont even think twice about getting their hands on a Droid...
...and you already did!

You should get the phone that fits your needs. When I first started looking at phones, I didn't particularly care for the Moto Droid because of it's weight and size. Performance wasn't even really a concern. When I did finally purchased my Eris, I loved it and it worked great. So much so that I didn't jump on the 2.1 leaks nor root when it came out.

Once I finally did root, it kinda set off my tinkering mentality. Only then did I regret getting the Eris in the slightest. Even now, the only thing I regret with the Eris over the D1 is the amount of modding that is possible on a D1.

The Eris gets a lot of flack for being slow and "unusable," but a lot of it comes down to what you want from your phone. Most people aren't power users like nearly everyone on the forums here and the Eris works fine for them which is why you still see the Droid Eris selling for about $175-$225 on Craigslist and the Moto Droid going for $200-$250.

...And I'm rambling on about nothing again, haha. I have a habit of doing this anymore.

I was actually talking to the op about this and got really close to trading. I was gonna send him a refurb that i got but it had tons of problems. So i decided to send it back and try and get a free upgrade instead. That probly turned him off to the whole idea. Now i got a free fascinate from best buy.

To the OP,

Im sorry it didnt work out, but im sure there are more people here that are willing to trade.
