So i charged the extended battery, and unplugged it around 4Pm yesterday.
I put it in the car dock to and from the Mann center last night, took some pics and played lightly online. forgot to plug it in before I went to bed last night, and now at 11am, im @ 15%...
Do i have a battery drain app on here or something?
Maybe it was my GPS? just noticed i forgot to turn that off after exiting the car...?

if my math is correct that battery lasted 17 hours before it read 15%. So two things: 1) it didn't die on you so you don't know how long that last part would last and 2) it may have been 8 hours of use but another 9 hours of idle. So it's still very good for a smart phone. Also, pictures game and gps are some of the heaviest hitters on battery life. If you had done texting, emailing and light web browsing you battery % would have been a lot higher.

Lots of smart phone users would kill for that battery life.

Im getting close to 20 hours on the stock battery (running 2.2 though so I've got the GPS bug fix) so I'm guessing if he is on 2.1 and he didnt toggle off the GPS then that was the issue. Just my .02

My threadjacking response: yeah there were enough bug fixes in the leaked 2.2 that it was well worth upgrading for me. GPS fix, battery life lasts longer, 270 degree rotation, and Flash to name a few. but of course its a leak so there are a few bugs with it... nothing major for me though. When the OTA comes I will wait a day or two until root access is confirmed then I will flash back to 2.1, then update to the official 2.2. But even until then I'm still very happy with everything on the leaked 2.2.... No MAJOR changes like some people are expecting but a few that make the phone just THAT much more enjoyable

/threadjacking response lol

4PM - 11AM is 19 hours, not 8 hours, and the 15% left is probably still a couple hours life left. And yes, you have a battery drain app, the running GPS. And if you were using the GPS on the drive, that is a big battery drain too.

Yes, it was charging for the 2 hours on the ride there, and back - granted it was running NAV so, "charging" is a hard word to use for that. Its taken over 2 hours to get from 80% to full charging while navigating soo
I guess I was thinking with the 2 hours of charging (or at least not draining), then thats 14-2, which is 12... not terrible with GPS on i guess...

C'mon, you can't say "My battery only lasted 8 hours!" when it was plugged in and running nav, and you never ran it all the way down at any point either. And even then it was still over 8 hours with the charge time deducted! You need to run it from 100% down to, say, 5% with no plug-in during that time to get an idea of how long the batter lasts. Otherwise it's all just guessing how long you think it would have lasted if you hadn't plugged it in and how long the rest of the battery would have lasted.

I don't get it...............i unpluged my phone this morning at 5:30AM, went to work, talked on the phone, sent some texts, searched INTERNET few times, my GPS is always on, WiFi always on, BT always on, played a little game, took few pictures, etc, etc. It is now 10:40PM and i still have 30% of juice left. And it is NOT extended!

Since I don't like to call anyone a liar when I don't know it for a fact then all I can say is.... I would have to see this to believe it. My stock battery wouldn't last over 10 hours off the charger with all of those things off and using it very lightly... so it's baffling to me how some people report these scenario's with their stock batteries. How could there be THAT much difference in performance?

I could understand slight differences, but my stocker used to die on me after 4 - 5 hours of regular (similar to what you mentioned) use. I simply can't understand how you could be getting tripple what I got?

Sounds like you have a bad battery then.

I unplugged my phone yesterday at 8 AM. I had a couple calls (3 5-10 minute calls), texts and emails all day yesterday with wifi on all day (but GPS off, as I don't use it often), auto brightness and battery set to performance mode, I even went to an area for a few hours where I was getting 1X signal only (no 3G), which puts more drain on the battery than 3G. I put my phone on the charger at 11 PM (15 hours total) and it was at 70%, I actually almost decided to not charge my phone last night just to see how long it would last, but my phone usage is so sporadic I figured it would be best to have it fully charged.

If you are only getting 10 hours with everything off and light usage on the standard battery, either you have an app that drains your battery or your battery is faulty, not the phone. No doubt in my mind that the stock battery can go 17 hours of medium usage (longer/more calls then I had above, text and emails, small periods of game play, etc) with 30% left.
