Hello everyone! I have finally upgraded to the world of smartphones. I am coming from a 6-7 year old LG VX... um... like 5100? It didn't even have a color front screen nor a camera. I am now using the Samsumg Fascinate and it. is. awesome!! I cannot put this thing down! It feels a lot like a mini ipad to me. Anyway, I have a quick question about it that I'm sure people here know the answer to - I have moved 720p videos over and they look beautiful, and I have recorded 720p video and it looks pretty stellar as well. However, the youtube app looks awful. Embarrassingly awful. Now, I know some of the videos I'm bringing up have 720p versions - is there anyway to view the 720p version on the fascinate? Anyway, just wanted to say hi and ask my question. Hope to learn a lot more about this phone as I read / play around with it!

Ok... one thing I just found out, related to videos (but not youtube) - the videos I uploaded to my phone are also accessible from the camera. That is, when I took a video, I then clicked the button in the bottom right to view saved videos. There were two on there, one had a black screen, so I deleted it. Then I figured out it was the video I uploaded last night from my computer. Whoops!

Welcome to Android Forums! Glad you signed up! Feel free to join the conversations! :D

I'm going to move your intro to the Samsung Fascinate forum. There's where you need to be. The folks are really nice there! (I'm there too, even though I have a droid x ;)).

They'll help you! :D

I dont use the you tube app much but your thread got me to try it. You can toggle between high and normal quality but that seems to be between 360 and 480. It does not appear you can select 720p like you can on the computer. Equally true considering the screen is just 800x480 not sure how much difference it makes. Now having said that I do have some 720p vids on my SF and they are goregous but even here its not genuine 720p since we dont actually have that resolution
