Root Won't Even Get To The M Screen Randomly

Hey, so i rooted my phone and was running the GOT mod and all was good, except my phone would sometimes randomly reset itself.

But today something new happened, it turned off and now when i try and turn in on the screen lights but it's only black, no M or nothing.

What should I do?
I plan on just factory resetting the phone once i can get the M to come up to get to the menu. Sound good?

Any help would be nice. Thanks

I have never seen that one before and I've crashed my phone on purpose by deleting files when in root. I would just reflash it with RSDL

Nah, i want to just factory reset my phone. I now got it up to the menu where i can do that, but it just freezes when i click reset. Know why?

Uhh ya thats what it means? RDSL with the stock SBF will restore it to factory settings

I got it starting up kinda but it freezes and turns off and wont turn on for like 100 tries then ill get it once and over and over.

RSD will not detect my phone when its in the recovery screen. Only when the phone is like totally on. When im on the recovery screen i cant select anything, not even to get into the GOT mod screen. Anything i can do?

Yes I have had that problem when trying to do a straight update when rooted. So what I would do is go straight to the original SBF 3.10 and then go to 3.11 and then vun rec. for root.

So going into boot loader doesnt work?

Hold D-Pad Up and press and hold the power button and while still holding D-Pad Up let go of the power button. The bootloader screen should come up and then you plug in the USB with RSDL and it should detect it.

That's what i was trying to say. RSDL does not detect my phone. The computer does but says it cant do anything with it. Once i boot up the phone it can connect. Just not in boot loader


EDIT: So i found out the problem, or one of the problems. Whenever i go and slide out the keyboard it freezes the phone and causes this problem. So hmmm. That would be why i am freezing in the boot loader menu when i try to get to the GOT mod cause i have to slide the keyboard out to select it.

If i were to get the official 2.1 update, drag it to the root of my SD card then update would that work?

Ok so even if you have the phone turned off and the keyboard already open it freezes when you turn it on? This should work because the phone should not be on before you slide open the keyboard. Pull the battery if you have too. Once the battery is pulled, hold the power button in for a few seconds to defuse any power still left in the phone. Then when you put in the battery the phone should not turn on untill you hold in the power button. You should already be holding the D-Pad up as well of course.

As for the update thing I'm not sure but you might as well try if nothing else is working.

Well that sucks, too bad you couldn't fix it yourself. Glad you had someone that works at Telus Yes good luck with that BB :| Only things I like about BB is it's a Canadian company, and the BBM is encrypted! That's it lol....

lol wow your lucky stores don't do that too often Once you buy a data phone from us thats it.. final sale... DOA is 30 days (14 iPhone yuk!) and the phone has to be in mint condition!!!!
