Root Removed Bloatware and now cant update..

I did not realize that we wouldnt be able to use the OTA if we removed bloatware.. I guess I didnt read that section/warning.. What can I do to get the OTA?

Are you stuck in a bootloop or just can't update? You might be screwed, but if you're in a bootloop it doesn't hurt to try SBF.

You might want to NOT upgrade yet if you don't like bloatware. You can alway SBF if you haven't tried the OTA yet. I would not recommend this as there is a possibility you will be stuck with ONLY what MOTO gives you from now on.

Just says update failed and loads back up 2.1

Well we have root on 2.2 already, so you can always remove root.

And if it just brings you back to 2.1 then use the SBF, and then update.

No, the only way to get bloatware back is to SBF. It's fairly simple.

Sorry... can you direct me to how to SBF? When I search SBF I guess it's not long enough to come up with any threads! Thanks!

I am in that process right now.. Thanks for the tip.. Try rootzwiki.com.. you may find something there..

Using the .sbf if you rooted 2.1 and removed bloatware will let you then get the OTA update. Had to go through the process this morning.
