Changes from 2.2 Leak to Official 2.2 OTA

There have been 3 leaks, builds 2.3.9, 2.3.13, and 2.3.15

The OTA is 2.3.15

So far, from what I've read, the OTA 2.3.15 and leaked ones are identical. There's still the same battery manager bug.

Also, the OTA introduces a new bootloader that removes the option to SBF back to 2.1.

BTW, just because the build numbers are 2.3.x doesn't mean it's not Android 2.2 Froyo. We are still on Android 2.2, just a Moto build 2.3.x

So at this point should I just stick with my 2.3.9 leak that I rooted the other day? From what I heard 2.9.13 caused alot of people "issues" and basically 2.3.15 seems to just be Motorola's security build to lock people out from going back to 2.1 and loading whatever they want? Otherwise it's the same?
Based on what Faboulous stated, there doesn't seem to be any point to do the OTA if its essentially identical to the other leak versions. Just wait it out till Birdman and Co. come up with a SBF for OTA 2.2

I am probably going to update to the OTA after birdman finishes his update.zip. The main reason being the radio as I live in a low reception area and I am hoping that will help. I have a few specific questions about the difference if someone can check on them that had the leaked version:

1. Is the SMS timestamp fixed
2. Is the battery usage fixed or still FC
3. Does CalWidget work now?
4. Are there any other bugs that I missed on the leak that are fixed or still present in the OTA?

Also with Verizon Navigator, I have heard it is free on the DX, can someone confirm and if it is free is there any reason at all to use it over Google Navigation?

I have the original update.zip leak and am wondering if it would be worth it to switch back to 2.1 and then go to official 2.2. Anybody experience both?

The latest leak is the same as the update. They also updated the bootloader and changed all the keys and signature to F anyone that uses the 2.1 SBF. Just look at the forums full of people that are bricked thanks to this BS. If you want to mod your phone break away from Moto updates or change phones. Anyone want to trade an incredible for an X?
I hope there is a major backlash for this.

I went from the first 2.2 leak which was rooted, last night flashed back to the 2.1 sbf, this morning downloaded the new 2.2 OTA, rooted again using the Droid 2 method. Only issue I have is the battery manager is force closing. I didn't have this problem running the rooted leak.

Mine was always hit and miss. Sometimes it would FC sometimes it wouldn't. The main thing that bothers me is the timestamp issue.

Not rooted here.

And the VZ Nav is NOT free. It's there and when I click on it in the app drawer, a popup asks me to pay $9.99 a month with the option to "buy" or "decline". Eff em, google works perfect.

That's what I thought, that's why I deleted it as soon as I saw it in the leaked 2.2, I had just heard rumors and wanted to confirm.

Where did you hear 2.3.13 caused issues? At least more than any other OS upgrade. I'm sure you will find lots of people in the following days with issues with the OTA 2.2. Just look at the WiFI problem they are starting to notice from the OTA. I had that issue with the phone out of the box 2.3.13 fixed it for me but now people that were good are having the issue with the OTA. The point being If you look you will find people with issues on every OS release on every phone on every carrier. This OTA is 2.3.15 with some Moto FU added to the boot loaded. Aren't they sweet?
