Right, have been playing with this for a while now am very impressed. Pretty much everything has been re-skinned. The Chinese writing isn't really a problem, only one main menu and a few options here and there that still have it.

It flies, is nice and smooth first quadrant score was 1376, and second 1578.

The notification bar has connection options when you pull it down.. airplane mode, wifi, bluetooth etc.

FM Radio works (you need to have bluetooth turned on for it to work), and I am sure the reception is far better than anything I had with sense... having said that I recently upgraded my radio image, so that might be it.

There is no app drawer, everything is on homescreens (iphone like), and when you install new app it is automatically added to a homescreen

Lockscreen has two buttons on it, and when you drag up on them you are taken directly to either text messages or the phone.

Have been restoring my apps from Titainium, and so far everything works nicely.

I would say for anyone interested to give it a go.

Not too sure that the swipe down to unlock is a good idea though, it would unlock if you left the screen on and slid it into your jeans :/

Providing you put it in top first (which actually I do for good reason)... But it looked like you had to contact the digitizer at a specific point to unlock, unlike sense.

I can't put my earphones into the bottom of the device ;P

My reason is if I put it top side up, I have to swizzle it around in teh palm of my hand to get it right side up. This can lead to unauthorised droppage of said device.

Top side down works much better for me. I've only dropped it twice so far.

Flashed, then realised I forgot to remove the .apk's I didnt want so removed them and flashed again.

I removed gmail this time too (as its an addition I think on Defrost) and manually installed the latest version.#

Working well. I'm on the 1190 kernel. Will monitor for reboots.

Yep, me too! I always put it top side down in my jeans pocket. Pull it out and it's ready to go. No spinning it around and dropping.

That vid looks amazing. I really like that gui and I'm a Sense fanboy! Ok, I'm going to have to start rooting and flashing roms again. Sorry

thanks mate.
just to update you all this morning......gps and navigation work just fine.
Also under display menu,the last option (the only Chinese one) enables wake on trackpad.
will report back later on to let you know how the battery life is (so far looks good).
FM radio def has better reception.

I've been using this Rom since last night, & no problems 2 report. Otherwise its the BOMB!!! Loving it, my advice is DOWNLOAD & give it a test drive!! Plus theres an updated version over at XDA forum with some added xtras, which i will be trying once i finish work!! Report back lata. ;-)

Battery is now sitting at 28%, up time is just under 19 hours.
With... wifi browsing last night, 7 hours of airplane mode, FM radio for about an hour this morning, since then music has been on constant and bit of browsing. and email syncing every hour.
all in all, not bad for a beta rom me thinks!

I am loving this rom, although I have reinstalled LauncherPro and the two combined is very sweet. For those worried about the non english bits, don't, there are some but not many and certainly not enough to stop you customizing it the way you want.

I will be staying with this one for the time being now. It feels better than CM and Phycosis(sp?) in my opinion!

been using it the last 6 hours, and it seems to work fine. It is pretty smooth, although there are some jerky/laggy aspects around the homescreens, especially when zooming in/out. The camera app is not the best, with a noticeable shutter lag in bright daylight that does not occur on vanilla or Sense camera apps (BTW I am using the latest radio), but I have not checked if the pics are any better when on pc.
I think this is worth checking out, but I will probably flash away from it and return if/when it comes out of beta and is fully ported to english language.

Some bright spark over at sea has posted a zip which takes care of most of the Chinese writing.... It's working fine for me....just flash from recovery in the usual way.

How is the battery life of this ROM.. And can I use clockworkmod? can I install apps from market place?
