Root SetCPU and Kernels?

So what kernels have you guys used SetCPU successfully and got great battery life? I'm on Hydra undervolt right now.

Forgot to add that I have Virtuous 2.6 Rom.

What ROM do you want to use it with? If virtuous I've used both the custom kernel offered for virtuous and kings BFS#2. With teh custom you cannot overclock, but can set profiles and all governors are available. With BFS#2 you can overclock, set profiles, and all governors are available.

I used setcpu with Ruby and stock kernel and also with uncommon sense and virtuous custom kernel. I got great battery life with all of these combo's. Probably the best coming from virtuous 2.6 with custom kernel and setcpu screen off profile.

When you had Virtuous 2.6 with custom kernel, on SetCPU did you press the "Perflock Disabler" button?

No you do not need to do this as adrynalynes custom kernel for virtuous already has all governors available and cpu speed can be adjusted as you wish. You would only need to do this with the stock HTC kernel if you wanted to set a profile and you would have to do so after every reboot....kind of a pain.
