Ive had my droid 2 for a few weeks now. mostly I like it. I came from a D1 so I knew what I was getting into.. anyway, the one thing that has driven me bat5hit right out of the gate is the gap between the slider and the keyboard. Now I understand there has to be a gap to a degree. My issue is, on the bottom (where the 4 block menu soft touch key is) the gap is greater than at the top of the phone (and on the side with the search soft touch key). What I am saying (typing) is that the corner with the 4 block menu soft touch key is raised higher than any other portion of the 'gap'. Essentially, when the phone is closed, I can push down on that corner and it is significantly 'bouncy'.
The keyboard opens and closes pretty much as normal. its not loose, slightly more so than my D1, but nothing crazy. I did not remove the blue tab (yet). so pretty much the functionally is fine. but it drives me NUTS. Almost to the point where I returned it. My question is, does ANYone else have this issue? Is your keyboard/slider 'gap' the same width all the way across? I am curious is this is just a thing with the phone or if it's jacked somehow.
