Synching with Google calendar - how many months?

The other day I did a factory reset on my Droid. (Highly recommended!)

Today I noticed that I only have one month's worth of calendar entries synch'd on my Droid and around 10 month's worth of calendar entries on the gmail calendar mother ship (the calendar I can see with my desktop/laptop). The two calendars used to be identical.

Since I primarily view my calendar on my Droid and my calendar is my record of appointments, I'd like to see backward to the beginning of the calendar.

Is there any way to completely synch these two views of my calendar?

yep, 30 days..

now, I know this as I have had a major issue where 10 years of data I converted from Palm over to Google went into the GC & my phone fine, but then just stopped syncing. Then, oddly, 7 months later, in August, it decided to start to sync again. Not sure if Google changed something or 2.2 did. And.. so the reason I know there is this 30 day issue when you wipe is it was highly talked about and bemoaned issue on the Google forums by people like you and I that want all that data on their phone more than on the GC on the web.

This is one of the main reasons I

1. hate the idea of wiping data
2. use MyBackupPro and TiTBu so I can backup and put back my calendar data

you might seek out Googles forums as you might find the work around there.

I had the same problem last week. My problem was in the 'accounts & Sync' with my main gmail didn't have the Sync Calendar boxed checked.

yep, you will always have more on the calendar in the cloud than on the phone after a data wipe from what I read. they built in that 30 day limiter. unless it has changed, as I read it over and over on the Google Forums researching my issue, that is on purpose when you wipe data and restore it limits to 30 days.

what is the size of your calendar data? mine is huge 7.5mb given my 10 years of Palm import and than backing it up so I can always load it back onto the phone

How do I determine the size of my calendar data?

Looks like Titanium Backup is for rooted phones only. So looks like your setup won't work for me as, I'm stock.

It seems that it syncs based on the time/date the calendar entry is changed. The trick I found is then to change everything, export the whole calendar and import it. Go in the calendar settings (on the web) and you can get a link to it that ends in .ics. Use a tool like wget to download the whole thing then clear it and re-import that file back in.
