Help wifi issue

I have just purchased my t-mobile G2 touch. I used nokia all along and I'm not used to android os a lot. I tried to use the wifi but it does not want to connect to my home network at all. My brothers nokia is conection without prolem but the G-2 just can no matter how long I wait. Does someone now anything.

I assume the WiFi network is protected? Is it using a WEP encryption key? If not, then try to change your WiFi settings to WEP. That seems to work for me fine
