from a technical standpoint, what exactly is having to happen or what are the individuals waiting on that has prevented them from releasing a factory restore for the Fascinate?

im not comfortable doing anything to my device until there is a failsafe in place....and i was wondering, what is "happening behind the scenes" in order for this to happen or are those guys waiting on something, and how can i help if at all?
