Bluetooth game controller

I recently bought the SNES emulator for my HTC Desire. Works well but some action games are very hard to play using the onscreen gamepad.

Are these games easier to play on a bluetooth keyboard? I am guessing you can bind some keys on the keyboard to various buttons in the game.

I have seen some bluetooth game controllers like the Zeemote but it does not currently support android. Are there any other options?

Many thanks
Tim

Depends on the phone you are using and what ROM you have loaded. Cyanogen mod 6 adds support for a lot of bluetooth devices, including a wireless wii controller classic by datel (the best you can get).

I'm not sure if the CM6 is out for the desire... but out of the box i doubt that phone supports bluetooth controllers. You'll have to do some research on that.

if you have a wiimote you can go to the market and downlaodWiimote controller by C.C.P. Cre@tions or Wii Controle IME by Ryan Frawley. One is free the other is like $5. Both work and do the same thing. You can use your wiimote as the controller. just turn on the app and hold down the 1+2 buttons like you would when connecting a controller to the wii. Once it syncs you are golden. They also both allow you to use classic controllers, even the new classic controller. I love it.

Playing Super Tecmobowl Final Cut with controls on screen sucked. I couldn't zig zag at all. Just run up down or left and right. Add the wiimote and controls were perfect and i could see the whole screen. XD

The wii remote sounds like a good option. Can you use the accelerometer options or is it just the buttons? Also how many buttons does a wii mote have?

Many thanks

Just the buttons. The stock controller is perfect for nes. Holds sideways, d pad in left, b and a button on right. For snes get a$20 classic controller. Perfect. Just must be plugged in before you sync if I remember properly. Been a few weeks now. Classic controller is super nintendo controller with two analog sticks in addition to normal d pad.

Datel makes a wireless classic controller that also connects to android devices the same way a regular wiimote does. It's what I use. Much better than the wiimote+classic option. Plus Datel's can actually connect to a Wii... so bonus there.
