I have removed VZ Nav, City ID and other bloatware, but the only two that remain a problem are the two I hate most....

Skype & Amazon Mp3 both give me the notification when trying to uninstall through Titanium: "failed to locate apk file".

What does that mean and how do I get around it to get rid of this crapware? Google searching has been non-productive with this issue so far.

(I'm on an Incredible 2.2 rooted with Unrevoked3)

Go into the Market app, hit "menu" on your phone, then select the "downloads" option that pops up. In the list of "installed" apps choose Skype and Amazon MP3 and it may give you the option to uninstall from there through the market app.

Thank you. While that itself didn't work, I did accomplish my goal. I went into the Market and could not uninstall these apps, but could uninstall the updates to those apps. Once this was done I went back into Titanium and then no longer got those errors and was allowed to finally remove Skype and Amazon mp3!!!!

All you need to do is plug it up to your computer, boot into recovery, mount the system folder, the use adb shell from a terminal window.

Yeah that's another thing i forgot to mention. Market links work in a funny way. Sometimes it's the whole app sometimes it's the updates. I had the same problem with Facebook. Once you remove either link it's all good from there. Glad you figured it out. :)

I found you don't even need to boot into recovery anymore [unless that is a phenomenon for me]. I just made sure debugging mode is on and in Ubuntu and:

$ sudo adb shell <-- It doesn't seem to work unless root

and I am in - able to delete, move, add, install, etc without having to reboot. It's quite nice. I got rid of sense this way :)
