I have File Manager installed on my Droid. I'm not rooted, phone is running 2.2.
When I looked at information for MY PHONE, it says that my applications have used 185M of 261 M or 70%. (Not sure 70% of what.. but it seems like a lot since I don't have a lot on my phone) Clicking 'Applications', it shows all my currently downloaded programs. But it has FOUR instances of MAPS, each one is 4829KB. The information shows each is 4.5.0 and is dated 2010-09-11. So all four appear to be identical files. When I tried to delete ONE of them, it says uninstalling this program will still allow the factory version of MAPS to run, but that I will be uninstalling the update. I canceled, but am confused.
My question.. why do I have four instances of the same file? Can I delete all four and then just do a manual update to MAPS? Can I delete three of them and the fourth update will still be running? Just curious if any one else has four such files on their Droid.
Thanks for your help.
