Help Wifes Ally gets 4 bars, mine 1 or none side by side...

Consistently I can set my Ally right next to my wifes and she has 4 bars and I have one or none. My time without signal is sometimes 80-90% and hers is 0%-20% in the same house. My phone is updated with the newest update as is hers. Mine has has the 50% bug fix done a bunch of times as has hers. There are absolutely no differences that I can see. Any ideas where I can look to resolve this? My phone does have the verizon crap wear removed, but no other root type changes, so it would be tough to go to them for help at this point. It got basically no service in the house before I removed the crapwear, but at that point I wasn;t aware my wifes got 4 bars in the house, so I just assumed it was where our house is located. If I had known I wouldn't have removed the crapwear. Anyway... help is appreciated.

You don't notice any differences in call quality or network speed do you? If you do, then you might have a problem and should just ask for a replacement unit.

If you do not, then you have nothing to worry about. The truth is, CDMA has that 'issue'. Verizon's network is based on CDMA technology, which, for various reasons, is known to cause varying signal strength, which may not actually indicate the strength of the signal or your proximity to a tower. The reason for this has to do with how it uses a constant connection to the tower and when there are more people on the tower, some of the weaker devices will exhibit a drop in "bars." Its really nothing to be concerned about unless your signal actually drops to nothing and you can't use the phone while she can.

Actually, this is very helpful. I should have thought to add. I tried making a call to her phone, and mine immeadiately showed three bars, and made a perfectly clear call. Upon hanging up, hers kept bars and mind dropped to none.

Thanks for the help. My only worry now is if this is impacting my battery life.
