GPS Issues with Cyanogen

I am at a loss here. Google and Sprint Navigation have the exact same issues. They will lock on to gps and navigate fine, for about 20 minutes. Then they just lose the satellite. I have followed the instructions to dl gps stats, wipe gps stats and redownload. But the issues continue. Anyone out there have the same thing going on and hopefully found a fix? Thanks so much! I love this rom, but I really need gps to work right.

Are you using the stock kernel or one of the uncapped kernels?

Try this, go back into gps status and go into to the A-GPS settings. Press reset and then download

Since flashing CM6 I haven't used the GPS enough to see if I have the same problem. But I took some pro-active action and found that one fix is to download an app called GPS Status from the Market. Here: GPS Status v3.5 : NEW Settings: Application for Android | Travel

After you install that app open the app and go to Settings>GPS & Sensors>Manage A-GPS state and follow the instructions on the pop-up window. It says that will give you a better satellite fix for a few days each time you use that process.

Im on the 9/26 or 9/27 and Im using one of the uncapped kernels. I have tried the gps stats solution with wiping and re downloading several times to no avail. This fix sounds like its working for everyone else, just at a loss why it wont work with mine.

What are you wiping and redownloading?

oops, probably should re word that...Im resetting gps data, then downloading it. Under settings manage a gps state

Which uncapped kernel?

I would try #14 or #2

ok, flashed #14 kernel reset gps stats, redownloaded.....cruising down I 40 in Tenn, so I'll see how it goes

Ok, Google Nav seems to work ok....Sprint Nav a no go....keeps saying no gps signal in the area. Weird, doesnt do that at all with the Fresh ROM....thanks for ya'alls help. I think the #14 kernel and gps status combined did the job

• Removed 19.2mhz from the freq table, should up stability.
• Fixed a bad patch integration in ipv4

Yep that's the newest one

Yep, just flash from recovery, make sure you wipe Davlik cache and cache

Ramzswap is more for compcache, if you have compcache enabled in cyanogenmod settings.
