Can't get back Standard sms Notification icon after uninstalling Handcent SMS

Anyone know how to fix this? I uninstalled Handcent SMS and it wont default to the standard icon for the Default SMS that comes with android. Keeps showing the Black Smiley face even though i changed it to the standard icon before i uninstalled it. Anyone know a fix for this?

I enabled the notifications from the Default messaging app, and it looks like it is the black smiley face like you had mentioned in your post. I don't see any way of changing the notification icon, like in Handcent.

They icon must have been changed in one of the new updates...

The default icon looks just like the app icon only in b&w. It sounds like you are already using the default one.

It appears so... Originally, it was the green smiley face, but Google must have changed it to the current black one at some point.
