Help Milestone 2.1-update1 WiFi completely dead

Hi

I have a Motorola Milestone on Telus with 2.1-update1.

I'm using WPA at home and WPA2 Enterprise at work. Until recently, my WiFi was working perfectly. Then I noticed that I haven't connected to WiFi in some time so I tried and failed.

Options > Scan doesn't do anything. It doesn't connect. It sits there doing nothing. And the WiFi networks don't have problems. I've tested them against an HTC Dream and a Magic. Both work fine.

I tried the WiFi Manager app but it doesn't have any scan results. It just shows both - the work and home WiFis - in the list. Scanning doesn't change anything.

I have restarted my phone multiple times with no results.

I have rooted my phone using Easy Root hoping that would help. It didn't.

Anyone experiencing similar problems? Any possible workarounds?

Thanks.

How would I go about doing that? (sort of a newb)

Settings>Privacy>Factory data reset or

Power down the phone. Press and hold the camera key and press and hold the power button until the Motorola logo appears. When the Moto logo appears release both keys and when a triangle with an exclamation mark shows up, press and hold the camera key and then press the volume up button. You will be presented with a few options and one of them will be factory reset. Open the keyboard and using the d-pad go to factory reset and press the center button of the d-pad.
