Has anyone uninstalled media hub?

I really want to uninstall media hub. It keeps starting in the background on its own. And most of what it has to offer is junk and costs way too much.

My question before I do this is twofold. Is it possible to uninstall media hub? And if I can install it, will there be any negative consequences to my phone?

You may want to freeze it, with Titanium, instead. I uninstalled amazonmp3 app and was unable to OTA update, because of it. I had to find and flash the stock ROM, in order to get the update. I don't know if it will cause you problems with updating but, if the OTA updates are relying on checking to make sure that the stock bloatware is on, it is a possibility. If you backup and freeze the app, you have the option of thawing it later. I have frozen a number of bloatware apps: mediahub, sprintfootballlive, nascar, drmcontentlauncher, drmcontentstorage, and amazonmp3. They never open, anymore.

I'm downloading Titanium now. Fingers crossed! I'm sick of all this bloatware opening by itself and killing my battery. Of course, a great solution would be for us to be able to remove the apps. Since that will never happen, I'll take what I can get. Thanks for the tip!
