Leaving Eris for Incredible

This is a sad day for me I have been an avid Eris supporter since Nov 2009. I dropped my Eris in the pool while on vacation, it is beyond repair and I did not have insurance. I am using my wife's upgrade to get a new phone and have chosen to get a new HTC Droid Incredible. I am sad to be moving on and I will miss all the really nice people in this forum. It has been a pleasure to have associated with all of you. Hope to see some of you guys in the Incredible forum:D:D:D:D:D

PS: Would like to give my sincere thanks to Of The Damned, Frisco and Caddyman for all their knowledge and support. Thank You !!!!! You guys are the greatest !!!

Lol i used my upgrade to a Droid X(bought the Eris full retail) and i gave the Eris to my dad and he broke it in 2 weeks. I'm 24 before any of you douche bags start saying that i'm a kid and doesn't need a smart-phone.

Is this relevant to anything going on in this thread?

In other news, hope you enjoy your Incredible alk1. Remember, just because you have a different phone, it doesn't mean you can't still post here. :)

For the same price, you could get the Droid X. The form factor is almost the same, it is a bit bigger. But HD recording and HDMI output and that amazing OMAP purring inside, I think it's silly to buy a five month old phone over the DX, assuming they both cost $199, as per the VZW website.

Look at Wirefly.com and see if they give you better deals for using an upgrade. Their new contract deals are out of this world. You get a Fascinate for a penny with a two-year.

^It isn't silly when you think Moto is garbage, the DroidX is ridiculously large, and you just plain don't like it. HDMI, I couldn't care less and the DInc records in 720p since Froyo. But that's just me.

I actually did the same last Wed. and the DInc is a great phone. Of course, I didn't pay $199 to upgrade either but still, great phone and totally happy with my choice.

But, I really don't believe in "goodbye" threads which is why I never posted one. I'll bow out now.

How much larger is the Inc than ERIS. For me ERIS is the perfect size. Fascinate, Droid, EVO are just too damn big.

I want an ERIS size with Inc functionality (yes I'm rooted with xtrSENSE)

I love the size of the eris as well. Unfortunately, the eris is the smallest phone out there. Everything else is bigger. The Inc isn't too much bigger, i don't think, been a while since I played with one though. All these new phones/moving threads have got me wanting to use my upgrade I'm sitting on (and was planning on sitting on until the new year) NOW

Yes God forbid somebody not wanting a phone the size of an iPAD, enjoying HTC sense IU and wanting something capable yet familiar with what they were already using. how silly! Silly for "me" is choosing a phone for HDMI output and HD recording. Its called a pocket cam, I've had mine WAY before Evo's, Iphone 4's or X's were available. its a 3rd the size of an X. it does everything it does in regards to pics/video including HDMI only better. No phone can replace it and its easier to carry and smaller than even non smart phones. Why would I care if the X, Evo or anything else shoots 720p (at least give me 1080p if I'm going to carry a big screen tv around with me)? what makes perfect sense to you does not have to make sense for everybody.

Getting a bit testy over someone elses opinion aren't we?

I preferred the size of the Incredible it appears to me after a week with the phone it is everything that the Eris should have been and it is every bit as fast and feature packed as the Droid X. For me it was a no brainer and I only paid $99 bucks used my wifes upgrade and bought a recertified Incredible. Phone is brand new as far as I am concerned having gone thru a few Eris replacements. I have no qualms about anybody preferring the Droid X, but I personally am not a big Motorola fan and I am very happy, as I was with my rooted Eris until it bit the dust. All of our toys eventually come down to personal preference and may everyone be as satisfied as I am. Good Luck Everyone :D:D:D:D:D
