The wait wasn't easy. In fact, I'm itching to turn it on. Waiting for it charge before I fiddle with it all night.

I have an important client meeting early tomorrow morning. It is a pity that my client is most likely to see a towering zombie in front of him.

I tried to run a manual software update.

About phone -> System software updates.

I get the message - Your phone is up-to-date.

Am I missing something?

I reside in the Middle East, mate. Bahrain, to be specific. Mobile phones are not network-locked here.

Device updates for such "unbranded" phones - region specific..? I wonder... Never found any such detail online, though.

Am itching to remove some pre-installed apps. Will update first and root later. Need to shift a lot of stuff to the SD.

Question: I recently installed 3CX & Nimbuzz (for VoIP calling). If I update to 2.2, do I need to wait for versions that are compatible with it? They are the only apps I have installed thus far.
