Galaxy S overclock hits 1.2Ghz - 1.6GHz speeds coming soon
You best believe day 1 Im going right test this theory out. In all truth I'd be very happy with 1.5Ghz :D
50% extra has always been a nice mark to strive for on an OC. Come to think of it most of my PC cpu's have hit at least 50% OC from the factory speed.
Everyday Im peek into xda, it might seem like watching grass grow or paint dry but I know they are working on it

Will OC'ing help me attain the "SenseUI like" scroll speed on my home menus? If so, then I'll be looking forward to this too.
Well if you cpu is 50% faster that will help but in your case software enhancements would be more efficient...or both of course. Im pretty pleased with LP scrolling and don't have a Sense comparison to go off of.

Oh yeah, as it is now, it's plenty snappy 97% of the time. I just remember testing the Dinc a couple of times and noticed how it had that little extra 'kick' to it... but I've got 7 home screens practically spilling over with ths and that and the other..., just started to clean it up a couple days ago.
Yeah thats as much as Froyo enhancement as it is a snappier cpu or home launcher

Hmm. I always found my HTC Incredible scrolling to be extremely sluggish (even with Froyo, or a stripped down sped-up ROM).

Fascinate's quite a bit better which is great, but still no iPhone. I don't know if its hardware, software, or both - but touch responsiveness seems lacking on Android devices.
I don't know, Im liking my LP's responsiveness. I suppose there is no "best at everything device." Im just pleased with what I consider the best overall

Were you getting those FC's like Rimzy was? Hmm, perhaps not an isolated incident. If you like ADW more power to ya. Thats the beauty of Android, choice :)

nope, i installed LP and then Switcher from the market, played around a little with it, decided to reboot which i usually do after making significant changes and it turned off and would not come back on, hold down power button nothing....black phone...and the battery was around 75% at the time i rebooted so i know it wasnt that. plugged into PC with USB cable and waited a minute or two, then it came on when i hit the power button (it never did the battery charging thing while off which was also worrying)

it ran really slow at boot and i immediately uninstalled LP and Switcher and then installed ADW Launcher the next day, played with it, it runs butter smooth and i like it better than what i saw with LP...so im a ADW guy for now

i noticed the author of LP has announced he is rewriting it from the ground up, probably because these issues are becoming more frequent, but the OS has changed quite a bit too so im not surprised

Yeah around these parts more people seem to lean towards LP than ADW but its not a matter of better or worse; its just different. Find what works for you and be content. ADW is a fine product. LP just fits me better. In your circumstance I'd likely do the exact same thing

thats because the *phone is just 16 static icons, you bet apple can get those to scroll smoothly. As Fabolous said" My twitter widget is more complicated then the iphone ui" Or something like that:D
