Root SDcard partion etc.

Hi,

Call me a moron or what ever, but dont know how to solve my problem. Just today I upgraded my old AuraxTsense to the new version 7.7. All went fine did factory reset and cleared cache. Then installed the rom and then radio. Just like on the other flash times.
Then went to phone and started to copy all my files back to phone and realised that my SDcard partion is gone? Is that even possible?
So then I tried to re-partion my sdcard with rom-manager and it doesn't work. So what should I do with the partion issue?

How did you notice the partition was gone?

Download quick system info and check the a2sd memory. If it says "not available" yes its gone.

When I started to install back my aps through Titanium backup it say'd quite quickly "your internall memory is about to full up" or something. Newer had the problem before, with APP2SD.

Your sdcard partition cannot disappear unless you had specifically deleted. Since you were using ROM Manager only, I dont think that happened.

Maybe a problem with the mount. If your Aurax boots, try connecting it as disk and browse in windows. If it works, the FAT32 partition is intact.

For NexTsense, ROM Manager essentially creates two partitions. One is the FAT32, majority of the card. The other is the smaller Linux partition, ext2/3/4. Try doing what dan suggested, and see.

If it didnt work, you can download a small program called Gparted which is excellent for partition needs. It will show you the current partition structure on your card with details.

You should. Titanium is the only thing which can backup 'everything', short of a Nandroid Backup. But of course a Nandroid Backup cant restore old apps to an update of ROM.

Note that the dev of Aurax has noted that on first boot, the internal memory will show far less space, which will resolve on next boot. I'm not exactly sure why this anomaly occurs, but probably the OS configures A2SD+ on first boot.

Try restoring from Titanium on your second boot, and see if it works.
