I really hope this thread grows in the next 7 days because i'm thinking about getting the Epic next Wednesday and giving my Moment to my Nephew (who currently has T-Mobile and seriously needs to get into the Any Mobile Any Time gig because im sick of only being able to call him after 9 on weekdays).
Me personally. I got my Moment back in April and I really have nothing bad to say about the phone. I've only dropped it once and its still kicking. The speeds are slow here in Shreveport but thats because we're still on 1xRTT (supposed to finally be getting EVDO in October) but thats no biggie because I have no problem connecting my phone to my Wifi network in my home.
Yeah the battery life is a fool, but thats expected. My battery lasts longer than my coworker who has a Hero so I really dont complain all that much. I just always carry around my USB cable to solve that issue.
I'm one of the lucky ones (at times) who works for Sprint (Advance Tech Support to be exact - So im sure a few of you have probably talked to me if you've ever called us.) so I was one of the first to know they were about to release the Epic. And before it was launched, we got to play around with them and I was hooked. The phone has everything I need and much more and i'm so excited. I just hope I dont get one of those buggy phones.
Me personally, I dont really have a problem with the extra $10 a month. Both the Epic and the Evo are PREMIUM devices which can do things that our other devices cant do. The processors are MUCH faster than our other phones, and you can VIDEO CHAT with Qik (if it works - and please dont call us if it doesnt, remember, we work for Sprint - Not Qik, Facebook, Youtube, Amazon, Handcent or any other 3rd party application.) and much much more... Entirelly too much to type. If you want to know the difference. Grab a Moment and an Epic and see the difference for yourself.
---Sorry if my rant got a little long, but i'm at work trying to make this night go by as quick as possible.
