I noticed the Droid 1 and 2 can rotate the home screen. Is this a hidden feature or possible update for droid x? Its kinda annoying to have to rotate the phone when backing out the the home screen.
Yup but you lose the phone dialer in landscape. What pisses me off is the landscape mode is already built in and seems just completely turned off without the dock. I almost always have my X sideways and backing out to the home screen and having to turn it drives me bonkers. I hope someone comes out with something to leave the dock mode on for Froyo!
Launcher Pro is cool, but still some bugs that bug me about it.
I use LP and had the home screen set to landscape mode but I turned it off because it's quite annoying. Every time I turned the phone sideways the screen rotated and I didn't care for it.
Why on earth do people need to have the homescreen rotate to landscape mode?
The better question is why on earth wouldn't it or at least have the option to? LP obviously thought it would be a good idea. I like to hold my phone sideways as I like widescreen monitors/TVs opposed to flipped up to be taller. Now that would be silly.
For me the phone is easier to hold in landscape.......PLUS look at that wonderful BIG keyboard in landscape. I use the whole phone in landscape except to make a phone call and whatever programs work in friggen portrait only.
Landscape is where it's at
There is an app called dock simulator that I never tried when i was on 2.1. Guess that will be the next best bet once there is a 2.2. version (I hope).
No, no it does not.
Not unless you remove all the stuff yourself, which I did. But otherwise, everything set up on your stock launcher will be there when you switch back to from launcher pro. It's just a good idea to remove everything from the stock screens so the apps and widgets aren't running in the background while you use LP.
