Samsung Transform

Too funny, I just posted this in the other thread asking about another 4G phone. Here's what I have found so far:

Samsung Transform appears in leaked Sprint document

Yea...from a few employees that randomly posted they do mention it has a full qwerty. Like it says from that article its likely to replace the Moment and not have 3G.

This almost gave me pause to not leave Sprint last night. If this was a 3G Galaxy S I would of been quite pleased. Even though full details are not released...I am not thinking this is true.

Ahh bummer! Since it's still a possibility for me to come back to Sprint for the Epic (once all is fixed, as I am back on Tmo for now), I'd consider getting an Epic without a QB, as I found myself using Swype far more - so I'd almost welcome all the features of the Epic (no QB), than one with it.

Kinda same situation here...I am with Sprint but don't like their phones nor the service I am getting so I am going to T-Mo. I saw the transform mentioned at like 1am last night before bed so it gave me pause thinking I might stay.

Sanyo Zio and Samsung Transform coming to Sprint by October 10th

I was rly hoping for a keyboardless 3G epic but doesn't look like it will happen. Oct 10th is close though so hopefully more details will emerge quickly about this device.

I thought the intercept replaced the moment about a month ago.... so now their replacing it again with the transform? seems a little early/fast to me. I think the transform is a new devise.. not a replacement.

I agree and someone said above that it will have a qwerty and "not 3g", did you mean not 4g because if it has a qwerty and 4g it's the same exact thing as the Epic! I'm hoping it's something different. Probably won't get it anyway, especially if it has a keyboard, I'm hooked on Sense. ;)

Tbh I don't understand it either...Unless the intercept is doing so poorly and their is overwhelming demand for an Epic minus the 4G. However I am just repeating what I have read and passing on the information. Atm its mostly speculation since Sprint hasn't officially confirmed anything.

Edit: Also I hear terrible things about the Intercept. It wouldn't surprise me if they just ordered a semi lower end model Galaxy S to replace it or run alongside it for choices.

It could be a nice middle range if it ran super amoled screen but an older/cheaper processor 800mhz possibly to keep costs down for those that don't want the $10 charge for 4G and don't want to shell out $250 for the Epic.

I guess it is rumored to NOT have a physical keyboard or 4G, so it's probably a lot like the other Galaxy S phones on other networks. This would be great news, as it would mean a lower-priced phone than the Epic (also minus the $10/mo. fee), but with all the great features of the Epic (minus the keyboard and probably front facing camera). The only thing I worry about is whether the phone will have a camera flash or not. If not, then I don't know if it's what I really want. I guess I'd have to see the picture quality in low-light settings first.

Atm I haven't seen anything to say this has no physical keyboard. According to the FCC filing from August or so it has full qwerty...

Model: SPH-M920
Radio Services: Cellular, US PCS, WLAN, Bluetooth
Key Features: Bluetooth, MP3 Player, Google Android handset, WLAN, 3M AF camera, QWERTY keypad

However, I suppose this could be a different phone all together. But again, just passing on what I have read.

Ugh....only a 3MP camera, huh? I really hope it has a flash then... :/

Well if it's a 3.7" (which seems to be becoming a standard size these days), I could deal with that. If there is no flash for the camera (like with the Intercept), I think I'll be a lot less interested.

I wish I could share the information I know about it (sprint monitors these forums sprintusers ppcgeeks xda face book) but we shall see what we get. Alot of people seem to be waiting on it. if rumors are true 4-7 android phones between now and christmas. and this maybe one of the best

But wouldn't a phone that is the exact same thing as the Epic without 4g take sales away from the Epic? Sounds like a dumb move on Sprints part.

I don't think the "specs" are the same. 3mp camera obviously is a downgrade. We don't know if its running hummingbird but I am skeptical on that since they seem to want to give you old old tech from anything that is not 4G pricing.

I do think it is a little weird to have it look just like it though...I am assuming they think they hired competent enough salespersons to explain and upsell the Epic, While still providing choice for those who want it.
