Search widget redirects to Yahoo?

It seems there's a similar post on the Motorola Backflip section... However, I'd like to post my problem here, as it's slightly different.

You'll see, when I bought my Xperia X10, it came with two search widgets. One labeled Yahoo Search, and the other just Search, which launched Google when used. However, after updating my phone, the second widget disappeared.

After this, I installed ADW Launcher and this made the Search widget appear again. However, even though it features a Google icon, it redirects me to Yahoo Brazil.

So... Is there any way to fix this? Maybe another widget or an app linked to google search? I've tried a few ones from the Market, but they also redirect me to Yahoo.

If you long press on your home screen and select widgets, can you see the Search with a google G next to it. Is this the one you have on your phone now that redirects you. Can't see anyway to change the options of what search engine it uses.

Maybe Google isn't compatible in Brazil, one of these weird location issues - but it does seem odd that you had it and its gone.

What about going into Manage Applications and clearing the data and cached in the Google Search app (or apps as I have an Enhanced one two - now idea what it does!)

Thank you very much for your answer! The first solution wasn't able to fix the problem, but when I was checking out the application settings, I noticed that Yahoo! Search had an extra button labeled "Delete as default application".

After touching it and trying to use the search widget again, a message appeared asking me for my preferred search engine. I just had to choose Google, and that was it!

It seems to be ok, but how did you get acess to Yahoo Search settings? I just searched everything in the phone and I did get nothing, in applications menu you can't uninstall it, and the widget has just no settings.
