Journey:
London--->Birmingham New Street--->Stoke-on-trent--->Alton Towers
Hardest part of the trip without a doubt but well worth it!
woke up at 4am, left house at 5:15am and walked it over to my gf's house. We both then jumped on the london underground and arrived at London Euston at 6:15am. Jumped on the 6:30am virgin train to birmingham new street (arrived at 8:05am) where i met two other friends and then we all boarded the 8:18am virgin train to stoke-on-trent. [urWe arrived at stoke at 9:12am and headed over to the taxi section just outside the train station. alton tower tickets, is a good place for deals.Taxi arrived at alton towers at 9:40am (some scary driving along the narrow bendy roads
felt like a mini rollercoaster to prepare us for the day)
Pre-booked Taxi for the journey back to stoke-on-trent station.
Alton Towers--->Stoke-on-trent--->Birmingham New Street--->London
Left Park at 5:45pm and headed over to the pickup point outside the park. Pre-booked Taxi was waiting for us. We arrived at stoke-on-trent station at 6:25pm and grabbed a snack, waiting for our train. We then got on the 7:10pm train back to Birmingham New Street and arrived in birmingham at 8.00pm. Went over to my mates house to pick up my PSP which he borrowed. Me and my gf then jumped on the 8:30pm virgin train back to London where we arrived at london euston at 10:10pm. Then got onto the final train journey home which was on the underground, arrived at my gf's house at 11:00pm. Left her house at 12:20am and headed home! by this time i was in need of some desperate sleep as you can imagine!
now thats what i call a trip!! **YAWNS**
Notes and Farewell!:
Plus points for the day was the weather, the company i was with and the 15min max queue times! hardly any queue for nemesis or oblivion when we went on the ride, only possible i reckon if you visit the park during this period in the year. The only downside to the day for me was on oblivion. The guy pushed my restraining bar too deep the first time i was on it and i could hardly breath!
when i got off the ride i was slightly winded which gave me a weird sick-like feeling in my stomach for the best part of the day. Thats why i only went on nemesis three times compared to seven the last time i went. Apart from that incident the day went well and we had the weather on our side
i think air and rita were the highlights of my day and spinball whizzer was the biggest surprise, didnt expect it to be that good
Cant wait to go again! i think i'll invest in a annual ticket for next season
The best time to go judging by peoples trips i think is september. Nice weather, empty park to enjoy and best of all hardly any queue times! Thanks to everyone that helped me plan this trip, cheers guys!! you know who you are
Anyone been recently, for everyone in US this is a UK theme park
