Edge of Insanity
So my beloved Incredible has met it's maker thanks to a 10'+ fall from a ladder when I went to answer a call (stupid move, I know). Click image below for larger view.

I went in to VZW, made a claim to Asurion and used one of my available upgrades on another line to get a Samsung Fascinate. I must say, the SAMOLED screen doesn't disappoint. The 4" screen size is the sweet spot for sure. The Incredible is better out of the box with Sense, but the Fascinate is better after a few add ons like Launcher Pro, Beautiful widgets and Handcent (which can all be used on the inc, I know).

I'll decide if I'm going to keep the Fascinate or the the Inc in a few weeks I guess. (I'll sell the other)

OUCH!!!

I just switched from the Incredible to the Fascinate and I agree, this screen sure is pretty. The Dinc feels small to me now, lol.

Yes, I'm afraid so. I was really disappointed in the Inc. screen size coming from my 3.5" iPhone 3G to the Incredible 3.7" screen only to find it felt smaller because it was longer and narrower then the iPhone.

Well, I'm impressed with Asuron. I filed a claim Saturday afternoon over the phone, paid my $80 and got a new replacement Incredible in today. This is going to be a tough choice. Maybe I'll keep them both and just use one for a few days and then switch to the other. I guess that shouldn't be a problem by just dialing *228 opt 1 and activating the one I want to use. Correct?

I am glad you are liking your Fascinate. I currently have the Fascinate but I am having problems with signal strength and GPS, especially when I am in my apartment. I am getting a low signal strength (0-2 bars) when I enter my apartment while my girlfriend (who has the Droid X) is getting 3-4 bars. Because of the low amount of bars, downloading apps, phone calls and web browsing give off poor performance.

I tried out the Droid X for a few weeks and grew to hate its large size since I had just come off of using the tiny iPhone 3G for over a year and a half. So I am actually thinking of getting an Incredible.

Personally, I prefer the Fascinate over the Incredible. I am finally getting a GPS lock (yay!) and there should be an update in the next few weeks to fix the GPS. It does feel laggier than the Incredible, but once Froyo is released, this should be fixed as well. I like the screen a lot better and how incredibly thin it is. The bugs there are now should be fixed relatively soon (hopefully).

Just my 2 cents

yeah, samsung is well known for putting crappy GPS in their phones. i had the original omnia and it BLEW. had to wait 5 minutes or more for a cold lock OUTSIDE. getting a lock indoors was just impossible. with my incredible, i just turn on the GPS and pow, done.

now if only HTC could figure out how to do cameras as good as samsung...

Captivate has the same problems. I say ditch the Samsung crap.
